The bemusement I feel over the innate paranoia some Americans hold over their own government is matched only by the amusement at them thinking that if their paranoid delusions did somehow became reality that they'd actually be able to stop the government coming to grab their guns.Originally Posted by Slick

So far ahead of the curve. Worst quality of life of all the industrial states.
Yeah the guns thing to fight the government has always been laughably dumb.
It doesn't mean that no one should be allowed to have them. It doesn't mean they should really either. Its just kind of a dumb side argument that is really beside the point.
Speaking of asides, one of my good buddies that lives a few miles over has a full arsenal and is completely convinced that he can fight the government or something. I don't know, he's a lovable retard. I try and explain to him how stupid he is but he doesn't get it.
Its good for a laugh. Plus his guns are hella fun to shoot so whatever.
You know what will really protect you in America? Money. No one with money goes hungry, and you can buy your way out of bad situations. Hell, you probably won't even be in them to begin with.
I tried to tell my friend this, that if he had just saved the tens of thousands of dollars he has spent on guns he could just buy a higher level of safety.
That's America right there. That's what America really is. People either understand this reality or they don't

That would be a pretty bizarre coincidence. Like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Except stupider.
How many drinks are you in at this point?
GoDaddy expels neo-Nazi site over article on Charlottesville victim
Web hosting company GoDaddy has given a US neo-Nazi site 24 hours to find another provider after it disparaged a woman who died in protests in Virginia.
The Daily Stormer published a piece denigrating Heather Heyer, who was killed on Saturday after a car rammed into a crowd protesting at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville.
GoDaddy had faced calls to remove the white supremacist site as a result.
The web host said the Daily Stormer had violated its terms of service.

Anoymous has taken over the Daily Stormer but you can still read the disgusting piece about Heather Heyer. I despair over the kind of sub-humans who exist in America and write for that website.
1. Lee inherited slaves then free'd them.
2. The war was started over wealthy politicians wanting to keep the institution of slavery, and as a result they left the Union. Robert E Lee wrote about how he was against slavery (as he was a christian man) and seccession. The reason he still fought, was to protect his home, which is understandable because the North raised an army against the South aftet they took Fort Sumter which was in the Souths territory, they took the Fort with no casualties.
Robert E Lee is known to have helped a dying union soldier on the battlefield. When Robert E Lee had the chance to end the war himself he did so at Appomattox because he thought there were too many casualties already. If someone took up arms against america, or your home would you defend it?
“A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday does not know where it is today.”
~ Robert E. Lee. History is changed all the time, dig deeper and ask God for a humble attitude when looking at history. Robert E Lee was a christian man who was true to his morals, this is why Churchill, Lafayette, Grant, and many many others appreciated and looked up to this man.
Getting off track from looking at that shiny thing, but do you believe that US soldiers would storm their own cities, families, friends and strip away the very fabric they swore to defend? Pilots would bomb their own towns? Generals would order it?
Because that's certainly not what I believe would happen.
Only way something like that would happen is over an extended period of several lifetimes of human rights decay. Luckily we are more protected than most in that regard.
Slick (sorry posting on my phone and can't put two little carrots here):
To answer your question, no not really. I don't think people having giant personal arsenals has any bearing on it at all. Like you said, that's just not where we're at as a country. Silly to worry about low probability events, its a giant waste of time actually. Actually fear in almost any capacity is a giant waste of time. I try not to get into it. Its just a distraction from what's important.
It's also just as silly to imply that the us would use missles, bombers, army & overall military against itself like hurrr durrr ur guns can't fight a hydrogen bomb or a tank durrr.
Cause that wouldn't happen.
But we should still have an option to defend ourselves from it, even if the chance is small.
It's just as important as free speech and freedom of press.
But I know what you're saying.
I agree as well,
Free speech is very important and god bless the Septics for holding it up high.
So at the end of the day what ever happens at these rallies is fair crack and people getting offed is just collateral damage.
All good with me, I'm down with that.
Wish we could tell it how it is in Australia.
^
It's all good though innit.
If this is what it takes to maintain free speech than all good .
I think this is Heather. R.I.P
So after trying to spin conspiracy theories around the whole event and mitigate on behalf of racist cnuts for being racist cnuts now you're getting around to sparing a thought for the victim?Originally Posted by Wilsonandson

Yeah, we've all got one of these at the ready.
If only there was some kind of device that was easily portable, hand-held, could take high definition photographs and videos, could connect to the internet, and could be afforded and carried by millions of people.
Oh, wait...
So every fucker had a camera phone
Why are there NO shots of the car approaching?
Why no drone or CCTV ?
Let me guess, it inconveniently shows the driver being targeted by thugs, maybe even sprayed with pepper spray...
If he was on a kill mission why would he slam into stationary cars and not plough through the crowd to the side?

A group of Twitter users — most notably the @YesYoureRacist account — have been publishing photos of the protestors on the social networking site and asking followers for help identifying them.

shine a light on them.
Were the tiki torch guys white supremacists?
Or KKK?
Agreed, except the counter protesters didn't kill anyone and didn't ride a car into a crowd, did they?Originally Posted by Slick
Btw, the antifa movement originates in Germany, to respond to Neo-Nazis and assorted rightwing thugs in the only language they (supposedly) understand: violence.
A lesson learned the hard way, every however seemingly innocuous public gathering of humanity despising supremacists must be quelched before the poison is spread. It is a controversial approach which deals with the symptons.
Fighting fire with fire.
