There is no way Mueller will be fired without a political backlash that would end the Trump presidency.

not trying to be argumentative, but trump is going to make the calculation of whether or not it's in his best interest to fire mueller...and if he determines it's what is best for him, he'll fire mueller.

because convention dictates it? trump will do what's best for trump...he'll burn down the entire country if need be.

If he fires Mueller as well, it's a no brainer.

generally speaking presidents don't fire attorneys general or special counsels...but convention isn't a concern for trump when he feels he's been trapped in a corner. as i posted earlier, i think he would (metaphorically) burn down the country via a constitutional crisis if he felt it would benefit him personally.

i agree that he has already obstructed justice and would be doing it again if he fired mueller....but in which court would be he tried for that? the senate? i doubt they have the votes to convict...but i suppose they might.

anyway, my point is that he'll make a calculation as to whether or not firing mueller is in his best interest and will act on the decision he comes to.

FWIW, i don't think he will fire mueller...but i wouldn't be stunned if he did....i can't imagine why anyone else would either....considering that he already fired comey.
