Australia and The USA is the friendship all one way?

Donald Trump and his administration has been hugely disrespectful to one of its closest allies.
Not only has Donald Trump tried reneging on a deal between the Australian Govt and the USA, he has been hugely disrespectful to Australias' prime minister and by default the Australian people.
To add insult to injury the press secretary cannot even get the Australian Prime Ministers name right.
Australians are well known for sticking by their "mates" and Australia has proved this time and time again by supporting every American war since WW2 both diplomatically and with troops. The "free" trade agreement negotiated is hugely in favour of the USA and probably one of the few that is.
Since 2010 Australias' trade deficit through this free trade agreement with the USA has overwhelmingly favoured the U.S. by over 100 billion US dollars.
Australia has made itself a nuclear target with the Pine Gap installation. to say nothing of a welcoming port for the U.S. Navy. Plus defence cooperation with U.S marines and air force. One of the few places in theAsian region where the local population are receptive to these bases etc.

Pine Gap ?spy base? makes Australia a target, researcher claims

Australia has obviously been taken for granted by the USA and it maybe time now to start to move away from the U.S. and look further afield to establish more cooperative relations with other countries. Although the U.S. may dwarf Australia both militarily and economically, it hasn't learned anything of Australian culture. Unlike Americans that fly the flag and sing the star spangled banner at every opportunity, our patriotism is not so overt, as thats' not our way. The U.S. should always keep in mind when they decide to tread on our toes.

I don't have all the details of your post above except for the 1,250 muslims that Obama made a deal to import.

I hope Trump denies their entry to the US and I think Oz should deport them back to their own country or somewhere that will take them.

I think these 1,250 muslim should go to a muslim country.

I asked around here at work and the Ozzies here think Trumbull is a dickhead apparently and think their administration is a fuckin joke too.

Out of all the nationalities I work with and know, I personally get on better with the Ozzies than most others, so apologies Oz bros... We're working through some shit in Murica currently.

I do not know the details of the deal but I imagine there was a quid pro quo. I doubt the favour is all one way.
The popularity either way of the government of Australia is not reason for reneging or disrespect.

Time for all countries to move away from the USA.

Those who signed up to TPP should review the agreement taking out all the corporate control clauses and do a true free trade deal between themselves leaving out the USA. Call it the Pacific Rim Free Trade Agreement (PRFTA) and be receptive to other Asian and South American countries joining.

Keep in mind that only 23% of Americans voted for this orange cheeto. The rest either voted against him or sadly not at all.

As an American I would like to apologize for all of those idiots who thought that there was not a lesser of two evils in this election and choose not to vote. Now their regrets are to little to late.

^^ Don't apologize on my behalf you stupid maggot. I'm not sorry for a fuckin thing

And what 24% voted for pantsuit and pretty much the entire country is divided 50/50 sometimes more sometimes less on certain issues.

If you got out of 'Seattle' you would realize there is a shit ton of support for Trump/conservative/nationalistic politics not only in Oz but the U.K. And the rest of the USA outside your progressive bubble.

    Lesser of two evils ...

One side encourages students to protest ... The other side suggests the need for a Kent State University type of response to protests.

Which side was clearly the lesser of two evils?

I haven't read of any "side" suggesting a need for the Kent State Uni response.

    Hyperbole.

from what I can see, Turnbull isnt crying. It's the press and public that are crying.

I gather that when Trump said the deal was no good, Turnbull stuck to his guns and said that he had an agreement. Which is why Trumpy got pissed off.

Australia are perhaps the biggest supporters troop wise to help the USA of all the allied partners.

Well you might want to explain that to the teabaggers. According to them only Americans soldiers and Jesus shed blood and gave their lives for freedom around the world.

Mate that's a fringe comment made by one person. It does not represent a "side."

He's a "secretary of Marquette County."

Huff Post came up first on my google.

Another tizzy fit for the media from comments made by an over-the-top idiot.

    This circus is never-ending.

A Republican Party official in northern Michigan has issued what amounts to a death threat against American college protesters, calling for “another Kent State” in the wake of protests at the University of California, Berkeley.

^ Fringe my ass doofus. That's exactly how the typical Drumpfster thinks. They hear that kind of talk and go, "Yeah, put them snowflakes down" ...

Someday Cheetoh Prez is gonna do something seriously over the top and his fans will just say, "We didn't think he'd really do it" ... And President Cheetoh will say, "I promised you I would" ....

I talk / yak with Americans every day from both sides and in between.

The Trump-supporters have not made any statements or implied anything like that (shooting people).

This one statement by this one 'secretary of a county' was thrown in the media to stir people up, get clicks and views, and take up our time until the next 'controversy' or anxious moment.

Bit of reality, Australia has few troops deployed in ME, less than 400, Turnbull refused a request from Obama for more last year.

This idiot got up on TV saying how great he and Trump got on during the phone call, to start, then some truth came out.

Why Obama would want to take a load of economic refugees in the first place, who knows.

China runs Australia, the government sold the place of, to line the pockets of the few.

Turnbull didn't even get an invited to the Trump inauguration, but a woman who once ran a fish and chip shop did.
