    I hope those green states haven't voted against their own interests...and if they have: delicious!

    I think the colors should have been reversed...green for the donors and red for the subsidized.

    California has another 1-2billion bucks a year coming in off the legalization of weed. With the rains and snow this year we will be donating power soon. More power next year. Going to be fun with Jerry Brown governor again.

    Never get away with secession, but it will be fun to fcuk with Trump and his followers.

    ^ Take Baja California in, too. Then it really would be a slice of heaven as a country.

    Bit OT but this interests me.

    Is is per head? Total? The prairie states grow shit loads of grain why do they need support? Low tax base because of population. California pays more taxes because they have 25% or the population.

    Happy to start a new thread if necessary.

    Corporate farming is heavily subsidized.

    I'd be interested in how components of the MIC* play into which states are donors and which are subsidized.

    I'm not really sure how donors and subsidized states on that map are determined or what the breakdowns are.

    I imagine Seattle would make a better capital than LA, LV, or SF, and make the notion of (re)unification with Canada, and the return of the British cessions, and Alaska more culturally appealing - kiss that royal pinky ring.

    If wee Donnie loves Scotland so much, why not return the colonies... the world would do a lot better under the rebooted British Empire than the Chinese one (or any other).

    Silly notion: the British Empire bears much responsibility for the nastiness we see today. Unfortunately, the surly cast of characters who threw themselves onto other older cultures in a pork-fueled frenzy of testosterone cannot answer for their crimes.

    This is the authentic map of what Cascadia was intended to be;

    I have been a member of this movement for many years and I in fact know the founder of the movement itself. He is the one who designed the flag;

    With all this talk in California they may as well include Oregon and Washington. It would be a nice tri-state union.

    That's a nice map and flag, Snub.

    IMO, Eastern WA and Idaho may not want to be in it, but parts of Montana, yes.

    CA secession ain't ever gonna happen, unless of course the precious libtard snowflakes wanna co-op the USA military presence there.

    So fogetaboutit, this is simply ever more mindless noise from the inconsolable fuckwits who voted for Hillary.

    ^ Once again your mind numbing stupidity is on display. This movement is nothing new its been discussed for years. I have been part of the Cascadia now movement since the early 2000's.

    Go back to reading your breitfart propaganda and leave the complex conversations to the adults.

    That's what I was thinking.

    For me to take the movement seriously it will have to maintain moment after the next election in 3 years and 9 months.

    If there is a change in Presidents, would the movement's profile diminish.

    I do know that if it makes it to the ballot the vote would be in 2020.

    Here is a political note to the CA seeing itself as a more independent entity.

    SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – The state of California is studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities, KPIX 5 has learned.
    But there are other federal money issues involved like roads, etc.
