Can you imagine an admission of a mistake by a newspaper run by an authorian government? Or an even bigger laugh, some blogger admitting he has been wrong for so many years in his predictions of gloom and doom, ala Tyler Durden?

No he didn't "cherry pick" he posted a full quote and highlighted a section. To "cherry pick" is to throw away anything you dislike and ONLY purchase/want to eat, see ... .
A reputation for what facts, integrity, honesty..... from a newspaper baron.

You certainly drip allot for a particular imaginary person from a "news aggregator" web site. Care to open up as to why the imaginary person and that particular "news aggregator" site?

Do some of the sites articles highlight some shortcomings of your own beliefs?

Are you suggesting that the world has not been brutalised, raped, over the past years endlessly.

Just found his website. Interesting site. Was looking for info on Zero Hedge and it’s pushing of fake news. ZH is worse than I thought.

    Is It Propaganda Or Not

Russia is Manipulating US Public Opinion through Online Propaganda

    We're trying to stop it.

Welcome to PropOrNot! This site is a resource for people who want to understand Russian influence operations targeted at US audiences, distinguish between propaganda and commercial "clickbait", and help identify propaganda and push back.

Russia is Manipulating US Public Opinion through Online Propaganda

    Zero Hedge

    Snip.

On the face of it, ZeroHedge’s articles were always a perplexing mix of solid financial news and frankly sensational articles that headed straight for conspiracy-theory territory—an odd combination for a financial website. The real identity of its author was hotly debated, as was the veracity of many of its claims. ZeroHedge frequently argued that “pseudonymous speech” was necessary amid an atmosphere of stifled public dissent, but it also made it nearly impossible to trace the source of some of the articles it published.

Snip (This appears on another TD thread, though I can’t find it.

Former ZH employee Lokey, who said he wrote much of the site’s political content, claimed there was pressure to frame issues in a way he felt was disingenuous. “I tried to inject as much truth as I could into my posts, but there’s no room for it. “Russia=good. Obama=idiot. Bashar al-Assad=benevolent leader. John Kerry=dunce. Vladimir Putin=greatest leader in the history of statecraft,” Lokey wrote, describing his take on the website's politics...

“I can’t be a 24-hour cheerleader for Hezbollah, Moscow, Tehran, Beijing, and Trump anymore. It’ s wrong. Period. I know it gets you views now, but it will kill your brand over the long run,” Lokey texted Ivandjiiski. “This isn’t a revolution. It’s a joke.”’

The whole article is worth a read.

How many words do you want me to copy here for you to admit your apologetic reasons? (there is always an escape clause, isn't it?)
It had gone months and months by all "recognized" MSM media.

How generous and heart-breaking from them after they had helped to drum up for the war killing uncounted mass of Iraqi people and counted thousands of American people, and and...

And how foolish that they were "misled" by a crook. I have to be a genius - and with me millions of people and thousands of "crank" webs, although not having such a mighty investigative possibilities and intelligence contacts as the MSM - nevertheless, be a common sense knowing that they spread up a crap helping to sell the war.

Besides what they had known from the real investigative agencies as UN atomic agency - never heard of Hans Blix and El'Baradej?

In his report to the UN Security Council on 14 February 2003, Blix claimed that "so far, UNMOVIC has not found any such weapons [of mass destruction], only a small number of empty chemical munitions."[6]

In 2004 Blix gave a statement that "there were about 700 inspections, and in no case did we find weapons of mass destruction."[7]

Blix's statements about the Iraq WMD program came to contradict the claims of the George W. Bush administration,[8] and attracted a great deal of criticism from supporters of the invasion of Iraq. In an interview on BBC 1 on 8 February 2004, Blix accused the US and British governments of dramatizing the threat of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, in order to strengthen the case for the 2003 war against the government of Saddam Hussein. Ultimately, no stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction were ever found.[9]

In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Blix said, "I have my detractors in Washington. There are bastards who spread things around, of course, who planted nasty things in the media."[10]

"remote areas no news"? Does it exist in this world? How pity of you having the nerves not to care - unlike nowadays?

Anyway, as usually, you have not disappointed in vehemently denying what even the infamous war actors no longer deny...

Gosh you are gullible Kitty. This is what relying on corporate mainstream media has done to you. You now believe it is perfectly acceptable to perhaps believe or rely on a website, which talks to you in your language of course, but is anonymous and will not publish its sources or who owns it. It's probably updated by the Clinton Interns.

I’m not going to make excuses for going to war with Iran. I’m saying the media made a big mistake which they have admitted. Let it not happen again.

And, yes, remote areas with no news coupled with being too busy. There certainly are areas with no news in English, no electricity, and no internet. Mostly, surprise, where exotic wildlife lives.

Which reminds me, I was here in Chiang Mai when 9/11 happened. A friend of mine phoned me and told me what had happened. My internet was so slow it was useless. I had no TV. I had to drive to town to watch the news.

Where were you during the Iran War? Did you watch it on television or read in the news?

(And, why am I defending myself to someone on the internet who obviously has a agenda?)

Just what is Fake news, we are brainwashed to believe whatever they want us to believe.?

Here is a website informing us which websites are fake, but how can we believe this site, it states in the link many fake websites are actually coming from Macedonia.

    https://www.factcheck.org/2017/07/we...rical-stories/

The respected Journalist John Pilger now works for RT, does that mean because he works for RT he is less believable.?

We're living in a world of neo-liberalism why would they wish to post the truth.

Old school journalism is dying, the new world journalists are financed by corporations to publish what they want.

Any type of information and stimulation, by it's very nature, will be subjective.
Perspectives that we make up for ourselves, and certainly rely upon, are quite destructive.

He gave up his title because a peer cannot become an MP and the inherited wealth nonsense was invented by a right-wing press who want to distract attention from his political legacy.

If you think 4 million quid is a particularly large amount of money for a london property then you're the mug. He left 5 million pounds worth of assets when he died, most if it in the form of that house, - hardly a massive amount of money considering his career and most certainly not the enormous fortune you're hinting at.

I also have to ask why it is that a certain type of person, generally not very intelligent, insists that socialism, wealth, and private property are incompatible. What kind of fool would believe that?

Sorry Kitt. I think I have pushed you too far and you have gone mad. The quote you posted was not from me. War in Iran? Only in the planning stages so far where the west floods the country with foreign agent provocateurs, NGOs and the like trying to galvanise an uprising, which they will then turn violent, same as they did in Ukraine.

And why are you defending yourself? Well, as Chris said in the end of PLatoon, "we did not fight the enemy; we fought ourselves. And the enemy was in us". You are defending yourself to bolster your belief that all is well int he world, politicians want what is best for you, there is no conspiracy, the media can be trusted, and harry is right about everything. Alas though, you are fighting a losing battle as each day you see more and more which proves that us "conspeeeeracy" folk are probably right.

Corrosive power of media. - it's not just cosmetics the media is selling you. It's selling you a version of events and history that is false and you are buying it.
