As described in the gospels of Luke and Matthew.

My “nativity” is noting in comparison to your constant tin-foil hat spin to avoid the issue at hand. “Look at the bird over there!” is your motto.

For instance, what has CNN and MSNBC got to do with anything? I’m not getting information from those sources unless they actually interviewed a person who is in the news.

You just peddle your same old sctick year after year. Corporate media, so and so is a kiddy fiddler, international Joos bankers running the world, you predicted this or that.... Yawn.

So come on then, which are your trusted sources of news then? How do you asses the people who are interviewed as being suitable and reliable? Lets hear it then?

Sober up? Doesn't agree with me so must be drunk?

Your news posts are from NY Times, Washington post, Asia Times. etc etc.

All rags with clear agendas. So before you start picking apart other peoples messengers have a look at your own.

Besides? haven't you got a maid?

^ Sober up because you have me winning a nativity award and asses the people. What am I supposed to think?

Let’s talk about those rags with agendas, the NY Times, Washington Post. Both of those publications have high standards and will fire reporters who don’t follow their code of ethics. That means they don’t let reporters intentionally lie, exaggerate, or sensationalize news. Go ahead and prove otherwise.

Asia Times was at one time owned by a right leaning Thai politician but now Hong Kong based and run. Reporters use their real names.

I use the wire services. Factual with no fluff. Got a problem with them?

Politico, again dry and factual with no agenda. Journalists named on their articles.

RFA, again high standards of reporting. Reporters named. Prove otherwise.

What other source I use do you want to look at. Go ahead.

What isn’t news is blogs. Ever read the rules of the forum?

Haven’t had a maid for a couple of years. She got a real job.

Problem is - you think I read wingbat crazy bullshit blogs and crap and beleive it all. No, I don't. I have the same cynical attitude to all of it. Alas, you mainstream media drones swallow it all from POlitico, AP, Radio FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Asia (even the name is comical) and never question it, and then if someone does, you try and ridicule them, but NEVER address what is being questioned, by who and how. Same trick your friend hillary used. Don't read the leaked emails. Only follow the birdy when I point at Russia. And off you go, page after page of RUSSIA DID IT reports

    So funny -

Miss Kitt - Winner of the 2018 Nativity award

Given each year to the person so dim they would take the nativity story at face value and believe it all.

(or it might have been a typo. Will go back and asses it later).

Yes, I believe. We all had witnessed that during the sale of the Iraq war, hadn't we?

    The clue is in:
they don’t let reporters intentionally lie, exaggerate, or sensationalize news
As far as I know, nobody "intentionally" had lie, all the policy (war) makers and their announcers were just misled, weren't they?

Why it matters: Facebook is the most widely-used news and information platform in the world; almost half of Americans use it for news and information. These changes will significantly impact the way people around the world receive and distribute information, possibly limiting the spread of fake news. But the change will completely shift the publishing landscape away from publishers that rely on the news site for traffic.

    Snip:

    • If this plays out bigger than Facebook’s previous algorithm tweaks, you'll be witnessing a decrease in power of the machine that helped to create fake news and increased polarization in America.

This is big news and probable that fb will lose a lot of money and investors. Let's hope it actually sticks and works out as planned.

Military investigating shooting in newly leaked Afghan combat video
    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...d-video-276534

Moon of Alabama was first on it 9th of January.
MoA - Afghanistan - U.S. Special Forces Commit Drive-By Murder (Video)

Probably all crank sites according to the new FuckerFaceBerg algorithm...

There is a huge difference in how Politico reported this story and how it is reported on the blog, Moon of Alabama. The headline for Moon of Alabama is “U.S. special forces commit drive-by murder.” Huge assumption there. Politico says “Military investigating shooting in leaked Afghan combat video.” Not jumping to any conclusion about what happened. This is the difference in news and fake news. Politico is reporting facts. Moon of Alabama is sensationalizing.

I saw this on Politico this morning and it certainly appears a US soldier shot the window out of the driver’s side of a truck. Don’t know if the driver is dead and don’t know what else is happening at the time.

There is no way for anyone to know what happened merely from looking at a video clip.

But the drive bye murder of an innocent brown driver videos came from your trusted scource: Fartbuck. As identified and attributed, you know like a real reporter does. Not some unamed government "trusted only by fools" employee. One after years of reading their lies does get a little jaundised.

Did you see the video? I did. There was no recoil of the shotgun. There was no casing come out. It isn’t even clear that shotgun was fired.

Start another thread about this incident. Will be a good one to follow.

No feck the rules. They are are DD cast them. If you don’t want to follow them, get lost.

Because if there is no name as a writer, one can get away with writing all kinds of hateful or untrue stories and not risk backlash from anyone. They can hide their true intention.

As far as naming sources, there are guidelines to follow for that, too. The sources are known to more than just the writer, just not published for all to see.

All in all, I’d like to know where you, with all your cynicism, think news should come from. You have stated Zero Hedge, apparently Bulgarian, isn’t a good source. Neither are US, Thai, or HK sources. Should we rely on the Brits? Latvians? Ukrainians? Arabs?

Who do you trust for your news? Why does everything lead back to Hillary Clinton, banksters, and the US military industrial machine in your news opinions?

Wherever they are based does not matter. What matter is the reader's brain and his willingness to believe or not to when they just trumpet and spread up lies of the most distinguished people speaking under oath, nothing but the truth...

OK, perhaps you did not understand my poor English:
One example: how did you understand (and "recognize") the lies trumpeted by your favorite "recognized" media in time of selling the Iraq war?

^ I was far away from media during the Iraq War, so don’t know what went on first hand. However, from what I’ve read about it, the media was duped into some serious American flag-waving.

Hope the media learned a lesson from it.

I would rather say "Hope the population learned a lesson from it".

BTW, you were away from media? perhaps still in kindergarten? Such a big noise and fear from Saddam, and misskit miss it?

    Refreshing e.g. NYT:
    Iraq War
The New York Times supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq.[184] On May 26, 2004, a year after the war started, the newspaper asserted that some of its articles had not been as rigorous as they should have been, and were insufficiently qualified, frequently overly dependent upon information from Iraqi exiles desiring regime change.[185] Reporter Judith Miller retired after criticisms that her reporting of the lead-up to the Iraq War was factually inaccurate and overly favorable to the Bush administration's position, for which The New York Times later apologized.[186][187] One of Miller's prime sources was Ahmed Chalabi, an Iraqi expatriate who returned to Iraq after the U.S. invasion and held a number of governmental positions culminating in acting oil minister and deputy prime minister from May 2005 until May 2006.[188][189]
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_York_Times

    ...not rigorous and insufficiently qualified...

That's was surely within guidelines of the ownership of those media (as you claimed), wasn't it?

"Newspaper asserted" - that reminds me what Ronald Reagan humbly "asserted" about the contra affair: "We have lied to you, but it was for a good purpose..."

^ You sure cherry picked a few words from that entry from Wiki, didn’t you?

There it is in the actual entry, New York Times admitted their mistake and a reporter resigned over it. After all, they do have a reputation to uphold.

Can you imagine an admission of a mistake by a newspaper run by an authorian government? Or an even bigger laugh, some blogger admitting he has been wrong for so many years in his predictions of gloom and doom, ala Tyler Durden?

I have to giggle at your snarky insinuation that I am very young. Chances are pretty good I’m old enough to be your mother. I’m old enough to remember Duck and Cover and fallout shelters in backyards.

My husband and I worked for years filming wildlife in the most remote areas where there was no news for months at a time.
