in case you were wondering how much of a liar he is....

in 2009, Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar el-Qaddafi paid Trump $150,000 to stay at one of Trump's properties. Although Qaddafi's stay was canceled after neighbors objected, Trump told Face the Nation that he still received the money, and in 2011, Trump told CNN that he charitably donated all of the money.

However, according to The New York Times, Trump's 2009 tax returns only reported $22,796 in business and personal cash gifts that year.
    ----------------------------------------------------

When Trump announced his intention to run for president in 2015, he had claimed to have made over $102 million in charitable donations over the last half-decade. But his tax records from 2010 to 2014 showed only $735,238 in cash donations and nearly $47 million in land easements and other non-cash gifts. A land easement is a charitable tax break property owners receive when they don't develop certain properties.
    ----------------------------------------------------

The Post's December 2016 article said that Trump had made most of his charitable donations to the Donald J. Trump Foundation. Of the $7.8 million in Trump's charitable donations identified by the Post at that point, $5.5 million, about 70 percent, went to his own foundation.

As of 2016, the foundation's largest donation of $264,631 went to renovating a fountain outside Trump's Plaza Hotel. Trump had also used the foundation's funds to pay for lawyers in legal disputes and for two portraits on himself hanging at his resorts, the publication reported.

The Trump Foundation disbanded in 2018 after then-New York state attorney general, Barbara Underwood, accused it of "functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump's business and political interests," and of engaging in "a shocking pattern of illegality"

Forbes Estimates China Paid Trump At Least $5.4 Million Since He Took Office, Via Mysterious Trump Tower Lease

President Donald Trump, who declared “I don’t make money from China” in Thursday night’s presidential debate, has in fact collected millions of dollars from government-owned entities in China since he took office. Forbes estimates that at least $5.4 million has flowed into the president’s business from a lease agreement involving a state-owned bank in Trump Tower.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China signed a lease for space in 2008, years before the president took office, paying about $1.9 million in annual rent. Trump is well-aware of the deal. “I’ll show you the Industrial Bank of China,” he told three Forbes journalists touring Trump Tower in 2015. “I have the best tenants in the world in this building.”

Trump moved from the skyscraper to the White House in 2017, but he held onto ownership of the retail and office space in the building, through his 100% interest in an entity called Trump Tower Commercial LLC. That put him in an unusual position, given that government-owned entities in China hold at least 70% of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Suddenly, a routine real estate deal became a conduit for a foreign superpower to pay the president of the United States.

Politics is a strange game when we worry more about who he is is fucking instead of what he is fucking up. They say you get the politicians you deserve and the electoral college appears to me, as an outsider, to be one of the problems.
Trump IMO is indicative of the many problems facing US society today. If Trump is the disease I doubt Biden is the cure. In four years time the right will be saying Biden's done nothing and the left will say at least he's not Trump. The status quo will be maintained just a little more quietly. I hope I am wrong.

Unless Bidden wins with a wide margin that indicates that trump was an aberration, I am afraid trump is a symptome
.The disease is a significant part of American culture I am afraid.
Biden is IMO a first step, where we go from there is anyone's guess.

Having just watched the whole movie, it certainly wasn't worth the wait. Produced by committee this one was. A few funny moments, and Rudi certainly is a dirty bastard.

Pence is the head of the coronavirus task force and people on his staff can't keep themselves from getting the coronavirus.

They of all people, much more than the average American, have so many more opportunities to find out who has it and take the precautions, but do they?
Keep those Trump superspreader rallies going and herd immune themselves into their own grave.

The full extent of Trumps assault on the wilderness.

The format isn't conducive to cut and pasting but please have a look.
I knew he was doing it but I'm surprised at the extent he's ravaging the country to enrich his donor pals.
He really doesn't give a fig abiut the U.S. or the average citizen. (Witness the wholesale selling off of public lands)

No. Polls were accurate in 2016 and in 2018, and the results proved it. The Electoral College was not factored into the results in 2016. How far did you get in school again?

Looking at the polls for the swing states, Ohio is still favouring Trump and Biden only has a small lead in Florida.

Too many are making the same mistake as last time and think it'll be a walk in the park for Biden.

NO doubt Biden will get the most votes but will he win the ones that matter?

I have not heard anyone who thinks it will be a "walk in the park" all the pandits seem to caution the opposite. Who thinks it will be a walk in the park? and the assertion that the polis (no your assertion) is part of the mythology of the 2016 election. The polls were spot on the had her at a little over 4% until the Comey surprise that reduced it to about 2% (not exact numbers but only intended to make a point) which is what she won by.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Oh, okay, my apologies. It was just the general talk about the election with phrases like: "Can Trump still win?" ; "Trump has been totally irresponsible"; "Biden's big lead" etc. that gave me the idea that many think it's a walkover for Biden.

I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another Trump win. I'd like more Democrats to think that it's possible for Trump to win so that they will vote.

No apologies necessary , we are just talking. I am not entirely sure trump will not win also. I was not very happy with the selection of Biden for the democratic ticket also. I always likes Biden but he gave up his spot yo Hillary, and consequently gave us trump. Wouldn't be a kick in the ass if he gave us trump again. IMO Biden is too old, his time came and went, So is trump. 330 millions people and that's the best we can do? No wonder we are going to hell in a hand basket.
Having said all that, Biden is infinitely better than trump. And with no future political ambitions perhaps he will do the right thing.
For me regardless of who wins , I am out of here,
even if trump loses his trump idiots will remain. Life is too short for such ugliness. I had my fill with all of them. Democrats and Republicans.
I always said , we will keep our house in the US , in case we need to return. Now I am not sure I ever want to ever return, and $300 K from the sale of our house will get me plenty of health insurance any place in the world.
I cant wait for pandemic travel restrictions to be over so that I can put the house up for sale and get the hell out of here,
