Yeah but nah. What really chafes your panties is they’re expressing a view not given them by the DM or Torygraph or whatever other right wing wank you get your talking points from.

Newsflash taxi, but democracy now allows wimmins and minorities and other non-White male types to participate. Get over it and get with the times or join the other dinosaurs.

Donald Trump, Theresa May meet to talk business as protesters gather in London

    President Donald Trump-11179194-3x2-700x467-jpg

US President Donald Trump says reports of large protests in London over his state visit are "fake news", despite his motorcade driving past the inflatable Trump baby blimp.

    Key points:

    • Mr Trump and Mrs May are meeting with American and British business leaders on day two of the US President's trip
    • In nearby Trafalgar Square, thousands of anti-Trump protesters are expected
    • The famous "Baby Trump" balloon has been released, and is allowed to fly for two hours

Mr Trump made the comments during a joint press conference with departing British Prime Minister Theresa May at the Foreign Office, when he also backed former London mayor Boris Johnson to take over as leader of the Conservative Party.

He backed up his comments yesterday, restating that he had seen thousands of supporters cheering him from the streets after meeting with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

"Even coming over today [to Downing Street] there were thousands of people cheering," Mr Trump said when asked about demonstrations.
"And then I heard there were protests, I said 'where are the protests? I don't see any protests'."

During the press conference Mr Trump backed former foreign secretary Boris Johnson to succeed Mrs May, but also backed current Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who was seated in the first row of attendees.

"So I know Boris, I like him, I've known him a very long time, I'd think he'd do a very good job," Mr Trump said as he stood beside Mrs May. (How fucking insensitive is this prick of a man?)

He certianly has seen the protests given his news source of choice but he personally has not.

US Presidents live in a bubble to a great degree. No way for several reasons is he going to be allowed within spitting distance of the protests.

Aside from his spat with London's mayor, I would assess his UK trip a success. He did what Presidents are expected to do with close allies. Did the same recently in Japan.

In a month the UK visit will be forgotten. As with much of the "breaking news" hair on fire headlines, from pro and anti 45 news, this means squat in the big picture.

Yeah but maybe he didn't recognise them as protests. Narcissists are like that, seeing what they want to see, seeing everyone approving him.

    Pretty much.

This is a guy who against all objective evidence and fact claimed he won the election in a landslide and had a record breaking inauguration crowd.

When he said he saw crowds of thousands cheering him, what he actually saw was a few people jeering him.

Boris Johnson Snubs Trump, Says He's "Too Busy" For Meeting

Boris Johnson has basked in President Trump's praise, touting Trump's endorsement as yet another reason why he should succeed Theresa May as Britain's next prime minister. But when the opportunity arose for Johnson to meet Trump, the former foreign secretary snubbed the leader of the free world, saying he was "too busy" to meet with him.

Over the weekend, Trump praised Johnson as a "friend" and as a "very talented" politician with whom the US might be able to negotiate a sweeping trade deal (Trump has repeatedly brought up the possibility of a trade deal during his trip, to the delight of Brexiteers who are pushing for a 'no deal' exit from the EU). Trump has also compared Johnson favorably to Theresa May (much, we imagine, to the prime minister's chagrin).

But during a Tuesday morning phone call, Johnson reportedly turned down the opportunity for a one-on-one meeting with Trump because of a Conservative leadership hustings event, according to ITV reporter Robert Peston.

A spokesman for Johnson's office told British media that the decision was intended to show just how seriously Johnson - who is far and away the favorite to win the Tory leadership contest - is taking the race.

The two spoke on the phone for 20 minutes, and Johnson told Trump he looked forward to meeting at a later date.

However, there's reason to suspect that the snub was a calculated political maneuver. Polls show Trump isn't particularly popular with British voters, though Johnson remains the most popular conservative in the country.

Instead of meeting with Johnson, Trump will now instead meet with one of his leading rivals, Environmental Secretary Michael Gove, who interviewed Trump in the days before his inauguration. At the time, Gove was working as a columnist for the Rupert Murdoch-owned Times of London.

Trump might also find time to meet with Nigel Farage, whom he recently recommended should be sent to Brussels to lead the next round of Brexit deal talks.

I think Trump has ran his course. All he offers now is media businesses to keep selling his diatribe nonsense. He has done NOTHING to "Make America Great Again " Its all false advertising. .

I wish someone could ask him straight up, what has he really done to "Make America Great Again" I bet he wouldn't have answer except to say that the economy is better. But that hasn't been bad for years and honestly if that is what he feels "Making America Great Again" means then he simply really does not know. I do not think he really knows what 'Core Values" mean.

^Average of 12 per day. Not bad for someone who spends a lot of time on the golf course not talking or tweeting.
