they should save their protests, for when he makes a visit on governmental business.

the protesters may indeed have valid reasons to dislike him and his policies but the childish tropes that will be used in the protest does the protesters no credit whatsoever. they are merely sinking to his level. blimps and milkshake throwing. its schoolkid stuff. the mayor and supposedly responsible political figures should not be associating themselves with such idiocy. they merely demean themselves.

trump is certainly not blameless in this, or any other of the spats he is involved in, but he is, for better or worse, the elected president of the usa and in this case the visit is to commemorate d day and the servicemen who died and he is a guest of the queen, not of parliament.

it is strange that when the chinese president, a far far worse abuser of human rights, religious freedoms and the environment, visited the uk, there were no demonstrations by activists or politicians.

Strange only because it's not true.

Anyone that thinks she loves that penis headed monster is kidding themselves. This is how the Chinese play the long game and they are in the highest levels of the US government. McConnoll is a straight out demon who sold this country out long ago. If anyone on the planet deserves a horrible death it is him.

No doubt worse, but protests against Xi are always supressed, even in NZ.
Besides, isn't that a bit of "whataboutism"?

I do believe that's a very real thing and a threat to the entire world. Sounds tinfoilhatish, but the evidence is abundant.

It's practically fait accompli that he'll do something else completely devoid of class / taste / decorum.

He really is just a giant orange oaf.

I'm surprised that no one has commented on the statement by the Trump administration that any trade deal must include access to the NHS.
    What arrogance.
And what do they mean by 'access' to the NHS?
Americans will be able to use it?
I don't think that's what they mean surely.
    So what?

Why? Why admire classless, ignorant arrogance and spin it as chutzpah? Come to that, why is chutzpah to be admired? Chutzpah is just a fancy name for ignoramus narcissism.

Are you dumb enough to think that that old cheeto is anything more that a spoiled child born with a silver spoon in his mouth?

He is not an adult and does not deserve to be treated like one. He should be treated like he is the village fool.

i'd take trump any time over khan, the hypocritical mayor of london.

Sadiq Khan was a human rights lawyer before he entered politics, and spent his time defending radical Islamists and self-confessed terrorists. He also defended hate preacher Louis Farrakhan in 2002, arguing that the Nation of Islam leader should be allowed to enter the UK to embark on a propaganda tour.

Bidding to have the ban on Farrakhan entering the UK overturned – a ban that had been upheld by successive Home Secretaries since 1986 – Khan told the BBC: “He is preaching a message of self-discipline, self-reliance, atonement and responsibility….It’s outrageous and astonishing that the British Government is trying to exclude this man.”

Louis Farrakhan, according to the BBC; ‘was (a) man who had described Judaism as “a gutter religion”, characterised Christianity as an oppressive faith linked to the slavery of black people and called Adolf Hitler “great”.

Of course not. Liberal hypocrisy runs deep.

Sadiq Khan is now attempting to have President Trump barred from entering the UK, arguing that his “policies go against everything we stand for“, however rolling protests against the mayor and his pathetic response to the terror attack in London on the weekend suggest Londoners are waking up to the truth about their “liberal Muslim” mayor.

Baby boomers are in many ways the worst generation. Living off the glory of the greatest generation whilst reaping the benefits of a booming post-war economy, cheap housing and free education whilst disparaging the youth of today as lazy and indolent because they’re coming out of university massively in debt with little hope of getting into the property market in a world the boomers fucked over economically and environmentally

    Cnuts.

NEWSWHIP, AN ANALYTICS COMPANY that measures social-media activity, looked at its data and came up with a list of news reporters who get the most engagement on Facebook in February, and number one was Ryan Shattuck, of the satirical news site The Onion. Number 2 was Jonah Urich, who works for a left-wing site called Truth Examiner, known for posting sensationalized political news. Daily Wire, another hyper-partisan political news site, also took several spots in the top 10. As NewsWhip describes it:

Beyond the Onion, the top authors were primarily from hyper-partisan sources like the Daily Wire, Truth Examiner, Breitbart, Washington Press, and several small but politically charged sites. Horrifyingly enough, two authors from fake news sites featured. An author from the fake news site Your Newswire was towards the top of our list, ranking in at #12. Baxter Dmitry wrote 81 articles in February, driving more than 1.7 million Facebook interactions.
