try reading beyond the headline for just once, ant.

this isn't the first time (probably the 5th or 6th time)

you've been lured (misinformed) by a dodgy nz herald headline which is deliberately vague and then goes on to clear up in the facts in the article:

headline: President Trump slammed for bragging about 'well built building' as one person dies in fire

in article: But that tweet was posted before it became official news that one person died, reports Daily Mail.

He really is a tedious repetitive piece of shit isn't he.

The path he took to discussing voter fraud went like this. (This is not made up.)

    • His administration is working on a new version of NAFTA.
    • But Mexico was helpful on curtailing the caravan of immigrants coming up from Central America.
    • They have strong laws on immigration, but America has weak laws, thanks to Democrats like Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.).
    • We’ve going to get tougher laws and the wall.
    • One tougher law will deal with “chain migration.”

That excludes a number of other riffs, including on sanctuary cities, “liberating” towns from the dreaded MS-13, “obstruction of justice” by the mayor of Oakland, Calif., and, naturally, rape.

Chain migration such as sponsoring one's parents?

The parents of first lady Melania Trump have become legal permanent residents of the United States and are close to obtaining their citizenship, according to people familiar with their status, but their attorney declined to say how or when the couple gained their green cards.
Immigration experts said Viktor and Amalija Knavs very likely relied on a family reunification process that President Trump has derided as “chain migration” and proposed ending in such cases.
The Knavses, formerly of Slovenia, are living in the country on green cards, according to Michael Wildes, a New York-based immigration lawyer who represents the first lady and her family.
“I can confirm that Mrs. Trump’s parents are both lawfully admitted to the United States as permanent residents,” he said. “The family, as they are not part of the administration, has asked that their privacy be respected, so I will not comment further on this matter.”
The Knavses are awaiting scheduling for their naturalization oath ceremony, according to a person with knowledge of their immigration filings. Permanent residents typically have to hold green cards for five years before they can apply for U.S. citizenship.

Trump’s company asked Panama president to help in hotel spat

PANAMA CITY (AP) — U.S. President Donald Trump’s company appealed directly to Panama’s president to intervene in its fight over control of a luxury hotel, even invoking a treaty between the two countries, in what ethics experts say was a blatant mingling of Trump’s business and government interests.

That appeal in a letter last month from lawyers for the Trump Organization to Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela was apparently unsuccessful — an emergency arbitrator made days later declined to reinstate the Trump management team to the waterfront hotel in Panama City. But it provides hard proof of exactly the kind of conflict experts feared when Trump refused to divest from a sprawling empire that includes hotels, golf courses, licensing deals and other interests in more than 20 countries.

“This could be the clearest example we’ve seen of a conflict of interest stemming from the president’s role as head of state in connection with other countries and his business interests,” said Danielle Brian, executive director of The Project on Government Oversight, a Washington ethics and good government organization.

this FBI no-knock raid on cohen's office and home is possibly the biggest move yet against trump.

trump's body language during his white house response to the raid was incredible.

if i had to bet right now, i'd say he's going to try and get rid of mueller by firing jeff sessions.

regarding that raid, i've read that the only way a judge would have signed off on it would be because the feds had reason to believe he was destroying evidence.

Also apparently Mueller may have handed the info which lead to the raids over in the first place because he had reason to believe that both Trump's and Cohen's public comments on the matter were outright lies.

he may have also considered the information to be outside of the purview of his investigation.

either way, cohen is in deep sh1t.

the washington post is reporting that the feds are looking at him for bank fraud, wire fraud, and violating federal election laws.

but if he's going to flip, it would have to be something big like money laundering....because i think he's crazy enough do 5 years for trump.

You’d have to be of questionable mind to do anything for Trump. The guy obviously doesn’t give a fuck for anything or anyone other than himself and would happily use, dispose, and throw anyone under the bus.

FBI's raid on Trump attorney's office could bring President undone

US President Donald Trump has slammed the FBI raid on his personal attorney Michael Cohen as a "total witch hunt"
    and a "disgrace".

He said the raid was distracting from other more "serious things" facing the country.
But what could be more serious for the US than the prospect of a criminal investigation, instigated by special counsel
Robert Mueller, into a $US130,000 ($168,332) payment made days before the 2016 presidential election to silence
a porn actress who allegedly had an affair with Mr Trump — a payment that arguably influenced the election result?

Whether Mr Trump likes it or not, this new probe — while ostensibly about the tax and business affairs of Mr Cohen —
threatens to shine a legal spotlight on his own personal affairs, and any role his attorney played in keeping those affairs
    secret.

Trump's fix-it guy caught in the web

Mr Cohen has referred to himself as Mr Trump's "fix-it guy" — a role that has apparently included anything from having
an engine repaired on Mr Trump's plane to representing his interests in a dispute with residents.

So many things. Cohen has been Trump’s attorney for 10 years. Could be anything from knowing who threatened Stormy Daniels to connections to mobsters.

    ^^^^ Following on ...

    Will Trump fire Mueller?

The FBI raid shows, once again, Mr Mueller is prepared to take his investigative powers well beyond the brief he was hired
for — to examine whether or how Russia improperly meddled in the election.

And it comes as Mr Trump and his legal team have been weighing whether he should agree to an interview with Mr Mueller,
which would undoubtedly examine whether his actions amount to obstruction of justice.

Now, the President may be weighing whether to get in first, and sack Mr Mueller.
Then again, given Mr Mueller has already referred the Mr Cohen matter to the FBI, even that may be too late.

mike allen wrote this on axios today, and IMO he'll be proven right...

Take a minute to think about the history unfolding before our eyes. You have the president’s top lawyer getting raided by the FBI, prompting the president to warn of an epic attack on government and signaling he might try to can the special counsel investigating him.

    • This is on the eve of the arguably most powerful and well known CEO of our generation getting grilled by Congress, in part because the Russians used his platform to elect the man at the center of it all.
    • History books will be written about this — and you were there to see it all unfold.

maybe, but at some point mueller will present his findings to the house which will consider impeaching trump.

really doubt mob ties or stormy will be part of the info mueller hands to the house.
