He’s also lost his appeal to keep his financial records from being scrutinized.

Trump loses appeal to withhold financial records from Democrats

House Democrats had issued a subpoena to obtain records from the president's accounting firm.

President Donald Trump lost a key court decision in his bid to block a subpoena from House Democrats pressing to see his financial records.

The 2-1 ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit stems from a case where Trump sued to block Democrats from seeing a vast trove of materials as Congress probes Trump over potential conflicts of interest and payments from foreign governments.

Trump says "I don't know anything" about the two arrested. You can be sure he was fully briefed on the deep shinola he is in before those statements! Boy that guy can lie!

^ Just read somewhere that Trump had dinner with those two a few months back. He can’t deny he didn’t know them.

    Let me find a link.

It’s in this BuzzFeed article from July of this year.

Two Unofficial US Operatives Reporting To Trump’s Lawyer Privately Lobbied A Foreign Government In A Bid To Help The President Win In 2020

Reporting directly to Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, two operators waged a brazen back-channel campaign that could thrust another foreign country to the center of the next US election.

Trump impeachment: Marie Yovanovitch says she was ousted over 'false claims'

Marie Yovanovitch (centre) arrives for a closed-doors deposition AFP/Getty Images

The former US ambassador to Ukraine has told lawmakers she was sacked over "unfounded and false claims by people with clearly questionable motives".

Marie Yovanovitch said she was "incredulous" at being dismissed by President Donald Trump in May.
Her testimony is part of an impeachment inquiry against the US president.

    What did the ambassador say?

"Although I understand that I served at the pleasure of the president," Ms Yovanovitch said in a prepared statement, "I was nevertheless incredulous that the US government chose to remove an ambassador based, as best as I can tell, on unfounded and false claims by people with clearly questionable motives."

She said she did not know Mr Giuliani's reasons for attacking her.

This is why I need to understand Trump ... well Trump's ego.

When things close in, as they are for him ATM, he throws some bones to Wall Street and the ups and downs of Wall Street affect my investments.

    So, we have, overnight ...

Trump says US has come to a substantial phase one deal with China

President Donald Trump, right, shakes hands with Liu He, China’s vice premier, during a meeting in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, D.C., U.S., on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019.

    Key Points
    • The U.S. has come to a “very substantial phase one deal” with China in the high-stakes trade negotiations between the two economic superpowers, President Donald Trump said Friday.
    • “Phase two will start almost immediately” after the first phase is signed, Trump said in the Oval Office alongside Chinese Vice Premier Liu He.
    • Both sides in the long-running talks, which resumed at the top level this week, have signaled optimism about coming to an agreement of some sort in the near future.

Asked what changed between these trade negotiations and prior discussions — talks broke down in May, for instance, leading to a sharp rise in tensions and the imposition of tariffs on billions’ worth of goods — Trump said it’s because this deal is “bigger.”

Liu, asked the same question by CNBC, summed up the difference as “cooperation.”
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin also announced the Oval Office that the White House has scrapped a new round of tariffs on imports of Chinese goods, which were set to go into effect Oct. 15.

Hopefully the 60% or so of Americans that don't support baldy orange cunto and his ilk will realise how badly their lack of getting off their arse to vote has damaged the country, and they will vote these Republican parasites out in 2020.

But of course they all watch the telly, read the internet, and can't tell the difference between the fact and fiction therein.

Sounds like they've simply wangled a way to buy some soy beans and some pork (which they desperately need).

This is a bit alarming. The US Attorney General got a Fox reporter fired. Certainly not the free speech America we used to have. Trump's presidency is damaging the basic tennants of the USA.

"His departure comes one day after Attorney General William Barr met privately with media mogul Rupert Murdoch, founder of Fox News, although Smith’s representatives cautioned against conflating the two events."

The guy's a hero, speaking the truth on Fox when most there are more interested in being the PR firm for the White House.

My question though is why was Barr meeting with Rupert....what could they have to discuss?

Quite frightening really. I wonder if he had lottery numbers?

The main character, Buzz Windrip, appeals to voters with a mix of crass language and nativist ideology. Once elected, he solidifies his power by energizing his base against immigrants, people on welfare, and the liberal press. The novel has been called “frighteningly contemporary” in the wake of the Trump campaign and election.
