    WTF?
"As Gen Kelly pointed out, if you’re able to make a sacred act like honouring American heroes all about yourself, you’re an ‘empty barrel’."
"I do both, I call and write a letter" It's very hard, very hard....""Other presidents don't do what I do...."

Seems Kelly was talking about his boss.

It seems to me, he may have been talking about his boss several times.

Kelly describes what he said to Trump in regards to how to handle the calls to the family of the dead soldiers. Compare that to what actually came out of Trump's mouth, there was a huge difference. Kelly implied that Trump's intention was good, but came out poorly.

Kelly also says something about Gold Star families (and women) being disrespected. Wasn't clear to me if he was lamenting the Khans appearance at the Democratic convention or he was taking a jab at Trump for getting into a feud with the Khans.

Doesn't matter what he told 45. 45 listens to no one. Waste of Kelly's time.

45 blew it and instead of a quiet call to apologize he opted to politicise it.

Kelly should not be covering for this piece of shit draft dodging, lying, self professed champion of vets who has again proved it's all about me!, me!, me!

Of course 45's gutless coward partry members are silent as usual.

Active military and vets voted Trump and Republican 3 to 1 last election. Gonna enjoy watching Republican majority in Congress crash and burn when those folks and their families vote Dem.

45 thinks he has probs with Congress now. Wait til after 2018.

^ Had to look that up.
For others like me who had no idea....
"he is the 45th President. However, that isn’t why many use the name 45.
Many people don’t feel he’s worthy of being mentioned by name, and have no desire to give him additional press. Folks are keenly aware that Trump’s ego is fueled by the mention of his own name, as well as from seeing it in print. To not mention him by name is to deprive him of the attention he adores.

Saying the Chief of Staff tells falsehoods because he has a bad memory doesn't benefit anybody. Just gives him a slightly more acceptable reason for resigning from his post.

i would guess he's looking for an out...but i don't think this can be it.

anyway, about the "misremembering", i really do think that it might be the case....primarily because he's too smart to get up in front of all those cameras and lie about something that could be so easily fact checked.

either way, i'm sure he's kicking himself now.

but what's fucked up is that during that press conference the other day kelly would only call on reporters who knew gold star families.

sure, i get that he was trying to make a point....but fcuk you. reporters have a job to do....it doesn't matter who they know and who they don't know.

I'm pretty sure Kelly's had to swallow most of his pride and better judgement to keep his job, same as a few others in the WH these days. No way trump would have kept him on if Kelly hadn't covered for him.

It really is a case of the Emperor has no clothes.

Trump pledges at least $430,000 of his own money to help cover aides’ legal costs related to Russia probes

President Trump plans to spend at least $430,000 of his personal funds to help cover the mounting legal costs incurred by White House staff and campaign aides related to the ongoing investigations of Russian meddling in last year’s election, a White House official said.

I can't believe what this stupid bitch Huckabee comes out with.

Gen. Kelly came out with a load of demonstrable horseshit about that congresswoman, and when she was asked about it, she said:

“If you want to go after Gen Kelly, that’s up to you. But I think that if you want to get into a debate with a four-star marine general, I think that that’s something highly inappropriate.”
I think it's very fucking appropriate to call out a government official for lying through his teeth trying to do what is obviously an orange cunto-ordered hatchet job!

He mentioned it but has yet to actually do it. Appears some fine print yet to be developed.

Donald Trump Is Rush-Shipping Condolences to Military Families

Timothy Eckels Sr. hadn’t heard anything from President Trump since his son Timothy Eckels Jr. was killed after a collision involving the USS John S. McCain on August 21. But then, on October 20, two days into the controversy over the president’s handling of a condolence call with an American soldier’s widow, Eckels Sr. received a United Parcel Service package dated October 18 with a letter from the White House
