This is an interview with Mikhail Gorbachev on the US & Russia strain.

It's a year old but sounds like it was done yesterday as the same issues and possibilities are raised.

We don't seem to see Gorbachev in the media much these days. He's an interesting man, IMO.

How do you work that out. When did I ever apologise for anything Russia has done ?

I have pointed out the blatant hypocrisy of the US and their war mongering which is destroying so many places....And I have provided links as proof of what I write.

^ That is because most of your links are not from credible sources. In many cases they are well known conspiracy sites or somehow affiliated with Russia.

Tell us which of those is Russian

Every last link I post is verified by other sites they tell the truth which you and your mate Humbug dont like at all.

Pointing out the silliness of the term.

Hay did you read now that an IS leader has been killed how the US is now claiming they bombed Aleppo. Also proves IS is in Aleppo.

I read lots of different sources and only click on Breitbart if it's an interesting topic.

Yes, I've posted occasional Breitbard articles for the perspective.

I read lots of different things written by different sources.

By the way, the reason Gorby doesn't appear very often is because he's as relevant as Ronald Reagan.

Once again not a single link to prove anything you write.

Barrel bombs and cluster bombs do exactly the same thing they shower bomblets over an area when they hit and are designed to kill and maim as many people as possible.

The US has used them and is still supplying them to the Saudis to use in Yemen.

If you had read the links I posted instead of dismissing them out of hand you would know that.

No they do not a barrel bomb is exactly that a big barrel packed with explosives that can be dropped from a plane or a helicopter. Completely different and far more primitive.

You are putting forth a strawman argument that is out of context simply to draw attention away from the war crimes that Russia and Syria are currently committing in Aleppo.

A smart post on the War Is Boring blog details when the United States dropped barrels packed with fuel in an attempt to burn foliage in the dense forests of Vietnam and smoke out Viet Cong guerrillas:
Army crews kicked the incendiary drums out of Chinook helicopters onto suspected enemy camps. They strapped white phosphorus smoke grenades to the cylinders to set them alight.
The Air Force took the concept one step further and tried to start raging forest fires in Viet Cong base areas. The flying branch used fire barrels as well as normal incendiary bombs.
In April 1968, the United States carried out "Operation Inferno," in which 14 C-130 cargo planes dropped dozens of 55-gallon incendiary barrels filled with fuel over southern Vietnam's U Minh forest. The sorties sparked raging fires, but they had limited effect, as they all tended to die down once the fuel burned out. The United States also dropped barrels full of a chemical equivalent of tear gas, aimed at flushing insurgent fighters out of their bunkered hideaways.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

The past of the US highlights the hypocrisy of the US.

I don't like what's happening in Aleppo, but must the US keep interfering after fucking up the whole region in the first place?

As for the reds, I asked for them; I got them. It show my admiration here.

Personally I never supported the war in Iraq and frankly that is why this whole mess exists. I do not support the US actions in Syria I have pointed that out several times but I will continue to point out hypocrites and hypocrisy where I see it.

Because Putin will not "piss off out of Russia" and consider it to be vital to Russia's geo-political interests. 46 year alliance with the Assads, and a Naval Base in the Mediterranean.

Russia won't be forced to leave, to the US should stop making threats.

It's waste of time with you bozos because everytime I have posted a source you have claimed the reports aren't 'date stamped' or some other lame excuse to discredit them.

You offer feeble excuse for Assad's mass murder of civilians and deliberate targeting of hospitals, humanitarian aid convoys and schools. It's happening in my opinion. If you wish to lay the blame someplace other than Assad and his Russian allies you are in denial about the reality of the catastrophe.
