A woman murdered her daughter by forcing a crucifix down her throat, police say.

Police in Oklahoma City found Geneva Gomez, 33, lying in her mother's home on Saturday with a large crucifix on her chest and severe trauma to her head and face, News9 reports, and her body was arranged in the shape of a cross.

Gomez reportedly told investigators she believed her daughter was possessed by the devil.

She also had bruises on her arms and swollen hands, which she told investigators were from her daughter "fighting her attempts to rid Satan" from her body.
She has been charged with first-degree murder.

One neighbour told local station KFOR: “She was a very quiet person. She didn’t really talk to other people. She was just in her own little world."

Very eerie driving through the Bible Belt on a Sunday morning hangover
    with the radio on
    searching for any channel
    with music of any kind

    Just hellfire
    And damnation
    And smoke wafting
    Out my window...

Why haven't the so-called 'Christian moderates' condemned this act in a manner and form personally acceptable to me?

I don't think religion made her crazy guys... she surely had an underlying mental illness, festering away in her rabid brain.

That being true, I don't doubt that in some circumstances, religion might be the catalyst that leads to violence (in some cases).

I know I am contradictory sometimes... I'll try to battle that habit.

RIP... always sad to hear parents hurting their children - it's taken me forever to forgive my parents what they did to me (and my lil' bro).

I'm surprised she got charged with first degree murder.

In my experience, all god botherers are fucking mental to some degree.

Death by crucifixion is very very rare.
