You may wish to investigate ameristani, mostly illegal, action in many South American countries in the past.

I'm a little unsure of the meaning of your post. But I will assume it's complimentary.

If not, please present your evidence of me posting falsehoods, here on this illustrious forum of truthfulness

Meanwhile the ameristanis have started sanctions/starving the population of a foreign country, starting another illegal war, on Venezuela. That always seems to work.

All for the children, no doubt.

"The White House said the measures “are carefully calibrated to deny the Maduro dictatorship a critical source of financing to maintain its illegitimate rule.”
“We don’t agree with anything that Maduro is doing,” US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, said on Friday, calling Venezuela’s recently elected Constituent Assembly a “sham.”

The US will continue to increase pressure on Venezuela until its citizens’ “rights and democracy are fully restored,” said President Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser, H.R. McMaster, announcing the new sanctions alongside US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.

Exceptions will be made for certain transactions between the US and Venezuela, including petroleum exports and imports involving Citgo, PDVSA’s American unit, as well as financing for humanitarian efforts, Mnuchin said."

Note the ameristani UN Ambassadors accusation a "dictatorship" and of "sham" elections. Stones and glasshouses comes to mind.

One wonders if sanction relief will only be given if the humanitarian efforts are purchased from ameristani companies. They certainly will have endless strings attached if ameristani supplied.

Here is our daily Venezuela report, brought to you today, by the Guardian.

let's start off with the theme song from The Jeffersons -- "Moving on up."

Hunger eats away at Venezuela’s soul as its people struggle to survive

The Maduro regime denies its once oil-rich country is in crisis. But on the streets the desperation cannot be hidden

    Emma Graham-Harrison in Caracas
    Sunday 27 August 2017
Hunger is gnawing at Venezuela, where a government that claims to rule for the poorest has left most of its 31 million people short of food, many desperately so. As night falls over Caracas, and most of the city’s residents lock their doors against its ever more violent streets, Adriana Velásquez gets ready for work, heading out into an uncertain darkness as she has done since hunger forced her into the only job she could find at 14.

She was introduced to her brothel madam by a friend more than two years ago after her mother, a single parent, was fired and the two ran out of food. “It was really hard, but we were going to bed without eating,” said the teenager, whose name has been changed to protect her.

Since then Venezuela’s crisis has deepened,
the number of women working at the brothel has doubled, and their ages have dropped. “I was the youngest when I started. Now there are girls who are 12 or 13. Almost all of us are there because of the crisis, because of hunger.”

She earns 400,000 bolivares a month, around four times the minimum wage, but at a time of hyperinflation that is now worth about $30, barely enough to feed herself, her mother and a new baby brother. She has signed up to evening classes that run before her nightly shift, and hopes to one day escape from a job where “everything is ugly”.

To Stay in power, Maduro will need the military. If some in the military move against him, he'll likely end up like Qadaffi and some others. Either way, I don't see Maduro alive in 5 years. Probably much sooner he'll be gone (from power and this Earth).

    Is he losing the military?

    VENEZUELA

    January 26, 2018 e\

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, hated by much of the country's population and sanctioned by a growing number of countries, is facing problems keeping the police and military happy as food shortages and hyperinflation start to hit their barracks.

Recent meetings and internal documents of the Venezuelan armed forces point to concern in the Maduro regime as troops grow more demoralized and commanders report an increase in the number of insubordination cases and desertions.

In addition to the signs of unrest among the Army and National Guard units, the government also faces a tense relationship with the investigative police agency known by its initials in Spanish, CICPC, after the recent public execution of rebel policeman Oscar Perez, who was killed by security forces in an assault broadcast live through social media.
“There is unrest, and there's a lack of discipline. The soldiers are demoralized,” said Gen. Herbert Garcia Plaza, a former Maduro cabinet minister, in a phone call from Washington. “Military installations have declared a state of alert, which is not normal [at this time] because there are not even street protests now. It seems like they think the enemy is inside.”

The high military command, in a document leaked recently to the news media, ordered that 75 percent of the soldiers be restricted to their barracks, in effect activating a general state of alert.

Another document, which contained the minutes of a meeting of senior armed forces leaders, showed Army Commander Gen. Jesus Rafael Suarez Chourio instructing unit commanders to improve their relations with subordinates, listen to their opinions and “motivate them to remain loyal” to the army.

The low morale within the armed forces is spreading through the barracks at a time when inflation is hitting 4,000 percent and the legal minimum salary pays for only 10 percent of the monthly basic food basket.

EU no longer acknowledges Venezuela's Guaido as interim president

    January 7, 202112:08 AMUpdated 4 days ago

"The European Union can no longer legally recognise Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido as the country’s legitimate head of state after he lost his position as head of parliament, the bloc’s 27 governments said on Wednesday.Guaido is still seen by the United States and Britain as Venezuela’s rightful leader following the disputed 2018 re-election of President Nicolas Maduro, and two EU diplomats stressed the EU still did not recognise Maduro as president.

An EU statement on Wednesday threatened further sanctions against the Maduro government, on top of an arms embargo and sanctions on Venezuelan officials already imposed, to decry what it views as rights violations and the rupture of democracy.

But EU governments referred to Guaido as one of the “representatives of the outgoing National Assembly”, in the statement, which denounced a Dec. 6 parliamentary election that many countries say was rigged. The new assembly, now controlled by Maduro supporters, began work on Wednesday.

As Venezuela has sunk into a crisis that has brought mass emigration and hyperinflation, Guaido was the unifying figure leading protests to seek an end to Maduro’s rule.
The two EU diplomats said Guaido remained one of the most important pro-democracy figures in Venezuela, where the EU, the United States, Britain and Latin America want to mediate to organise free and fair elections.

However, the envoys said the statement by the 27 EU governments came after agreement in Brussels that Guaido’s self-declared role of interim president had no institutional standing now that Maduro had taken control of the National Assembly."

It seems people are losing interest and leaving it to the chinkies and russians to fight for their money back.

Failure does seem to have dampened their interest interest in illegal regime change.

On the other hand it may haVE been one of China's "secret demands" hidden in the unpublished appendix CH-234/D/212.

(Lack of) Action speaks louder than words.

With the oil price in the shitter and renewables ever growing, the chances of the chinkies and russians ever getting their money back is dwindling by the minute.
