Maybe they just want to injure the Palestinian civilians, so they can watch them suffer for a longer time?

Well they haven't been stealing land for 70 years. They had a right to defend themselves in '67.

The settlement building/land grabs are a recent-ish phenomenon, normally designed to spur the Palestinians into a bit of violence whenever a peace deal looks close.

They didn't have a huge amount of support in '67, and they were vastly outnumbered.

What they wouldn't do is stop in the middle of a war and pray six times a day, or go running home to mummy when the shooting starts, which is the stock response of most Arab soldiers (witness the Iraqi army in any recent conflict).

Palestinians, understandably, see the founding of Israel 67 years ago as stealing their land.
Since then Israel has been claiming it's right to defend it's stolen land; and more recently to steal more Palestinian land and water in spite of the whole world declaring this illegal. But with big Uncle Sam turning a blind eye on his wayward 51st state, Israel has also a licence to steal.

When it come to foreign policy at least, I think it's closer to the truth to call it amerka's DC.

Palestinians, understandably, see the founding of Israel 67 years ago as stealing their land.
Since then Israel has been claiming it's right to defend it's stolen land; and more recently to steal more Palestinian land and water in spite of the whole world declaring this illegal. But with big Uncle Sam turning a blind eye on his wayward 51st state, Israel has also a licence to steal.

I can't see how that one incident justifies generations of retaliatory strikes with overwhelming firepower superiority and illegal land grabs that combined can only be described as genocide.
