Drumroll . . . Who will be the Republican Candidate in 2016 - Poll!

Though it even now amazes our cousins from across the Atlantic/Pacific, let alone anyone else on the planet, the presidential race for 2016 has begun in earnest . . . with a plethora of candidates lining up for one purpose or another.

It is time for us to place a tick as to who we think will be the chosen one . . .

Votes can be seen . . . apologies for the previous one which was deleted at my request.

    Some of the candidates:

Tick one wannabe Prez and provide a second alternative in your posts, please.

I voted Bush with my second pick:

    Wavering between Pataki and Fiorina . . . Umm . . . umm . . . umm . . .

    Pick number 2) Walker

These are not the people I think would do the best job, these are the people I think will be chosen . . . big difference.

Who would do the 'best' job? Pataki and Fiorina

^ Gotcha . . . and who is your second pick?

(Btw, I added Webb, just un case he runs as a Republican . . . and because I simply made a mistake . . . but more of the former. )

Of course it will be the unelectable Bush although I pray it will be Trump as America really really deserves Trump as president.

    I voted: Jeb Bush

He got the financing, and I assume the GOP machine will push him through.

He'll play the silly game to win the South Caroline primary by being a pseudo-christian and make odd statements.

I've been wrong before, but I see Bush as only the one to lose the Nom, instead of any other candidates beating him (for various reasons).

An interesting point (once again perhaps) will be: who will be his VP pick?

Toss up between ... Kasich, Santorum and Bush.

Interesting tidbit from reading all their bios on wiki ... Jeb Bush was a TEFLer.

I think Kasich and Santorum will fizzle early.

I think this will be the deciding factor . . . both points are vital to win

If he's smart it would be Rubio or Fiorina . . . but it could well be like with McCain that a running mate is selected for him by the machine

One difference between Jeb and McCain (and I'm not necessarily a fan of either) is that Jeb is a lot smarter than McCain.

McCain made the disasterous choice of Palin after conducting a google search. And this, is a fact.

Yeah, Rubio would be a ticket perhaps.

I'm still skeptical on the Millenial vote and female vote going to Jeb.

Jeb will need both in stronger numbers than Romney got in 2012. Romney got killed on the womens' vote.

My gut feeling is it's going to be a former Governor. I reluctantly included Santorum because he was runner-up to Romney last time.

Yeah, his TEFLer time was in Mexico somewhere I think. That's when he met his wife.

Hence Fiorina's attendance . . . I don't believe she thinks she can win, but by putting herself out here she is advertising herself for VP . . . same goes for Rubio and several others

Panama ... I agree with you about Kasich being a relative unknown. But not to those who tune in to FOX. His bio on wiki claims he had his own show on that channel for 7-8 years.

It's going to be Walker since he's the favourite Koch Sucker at the moment.

Yea, my second choice . . . would you agree that he is the most fervent hardliner of the lot, in terms of social and socio-economic issues?

I'm very strong on Jeb. All my money is on Jeb. As I stated, the GOP machine annoints to a degree. He has the funding, and establishment support.

I'm all in for Jeb for the Nom.

One of the key differences between Walker and Kasich is the union busting angle. Where Walker succeeded Kasich was overturned by the citizens of Ohio with their SB5 vote.

Oh, no doubt about it - can you imagine any of these throwbacks being in any way successful in the rest of the western democracies.

Union-busting as their cause celebre . . . espousing the bible as historical fact to replace science . . . glossing over the latest in a long series of gun-related mass murders by cretinously blabbing on about a misinterpreted and out of date 'amendment' . . .

North is a habiual liar and nobody in Washington wants to even have a picture taken with him.

This has been the case for 20 years.
