AUSTIN, Texas -- George P. Bush, a rising star among Hispanic conservatives and the grandson of one president and nephew of another, has taken the first step toward seeking elected office in Texas.
Elected office in Texas - he registered.

He's quite young. Erm, how old is he? 16? Just kidding, but he's close to that age.

Why are a few people even mentioning this "P" Bush?

    1. name

    2. He's half "Hispanic" and looks it.

Time for the bluebloods to stay out of politics. They already have business.

When the U.S. Senate this week takes up the continuing resolution to fund the federal government for the remainder of fiscal year 2013, Sen. Ted Cruz (R.-Texas) will offer an amendment that will prohibit funding for the implementation of Obamacare during that period.

“I believe we will have a vote on this amendment and I have said I am willing to employ any procedural means necessary to ensure that we do get a vote on the amendment,” Cruz told reporters today.

Ted is back in the news again. This time the story can be filed under 'stuff that makes a Libs blood boil'.

Ted Cruz: I hope Fidel and Raul Castro "join Hugo Chavez" soon.

"Senator Ted Cruz, who is of Cuban descent, attended the annual Cuba-Democracy PAC luncheon in Miami along with Senator Marco Rubio and gave one of the most profound smack-downs of Fidel Castro’s reign-of-terror that I have ever heard.

Cruz said that, “hopefully, in the not too distant future, Fidel Castro and Raul Castro will join Hugo Chavez, and all three will face the ultimate judgment.” Cruz later referred to Fidel Castro and Che Guevara as “murderous thugs” of the past and the present day."

Well its been decided then. 2016 will be a Bush v Clinton shoot out.

Dear America - Don't vote. Stay at home. It's all a game show. You have no choice; it doesn't matter who you vote for anyway so the only vote you have that actually give you a choice is to Not Vote. Send the pricks a message that says I am not playing your stupid game any more. Tell them that you will not be divided and conquered so easily in the future - oh, and push to end the fed....

^You miss the point yet again Boon. Nobody begrudges Cruz the right to excercize rhetorical hyperbole. It is his propensity to level serious charges without any proof that thinking people object to.

Good call - never going to happen though. Goldman Sachs fincially support the Dem and Rep that will go through to the fake play off - watch where their money goes to see who a) will be in it b) will win it based upon which gets the most money from GS.

Rand like his dad is Anti Fed Reserve - part owned by Goldman Sachs, so he will never get near a vote.

Here's a link to Chris Mathews chatting with some guests on Jeb Bush. They seem to feel that for a Republican to win the white house that person will have to further than just distancing himself from George Bush, he will have to repudiate George Bush.

^ Well Jeb definitely did not repudiate his brother GWB.

He said yesterday, that "history will be kind to him."

    Bye, Bye, Jeb.

Heh...Ted Cruz peels the thin skin off a Tyrant:

What's really laughable is MSNBC flacks tried to spin this as a victory for Feinstein!

When a Senator responds to a question of constitutionality by huffing that she is offended and ranting incoherently about “bullets that implode,” she has lost the argument, as have the statist apparatchiks in the media when they rally to her side.

Well, it appears that our indomitable Ted Cruz is finally getting the recognition he deserves from the Left!

James Carville Heaps Praise On Ted Cruz: ‘Most Talented And Fearless’ GOP Politician Of Last 30 Years

“I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician I’ve seen in the last 30 years,” Carville asserted emphatically, as the panel discussed Cruz’s reported presidential aspirations. “I further think that he is going to run for president, and he is going to create something.”

At this point 'ol Ted has a better chance than Piano Legs and after the Benghazie-Gate hearings are complete, he will have shown he is a force to reckon with.

I'm trying to think- how many guys with a face you just wanna slap have made it to Potus?
Nixon, most recently- and that didn't turn out well. Then it's pretty much back to the adams family- John and John Quincy. Ancient history. Na, sorry- even if Ted had actually done something significant in his life, I don't think he would ever be showponied for Potus. They want you to look at them in the TV age, not look away.

Ted Cruz Challenges Joe Biden to Gun Control Debate

Speaking to NRA convention attendees Friday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) called attention to Vice President Joe Biden's promise to bring gun control back for a Senate vote and challenged him to an hour-long debate on the legislation and the real causes of gun crime.

Said Cruz: "Vice President Joe Biden has said he's going to lead the fight to bring the [gun control] legislation back, to try to pressure the votes that went against it and to try force it through the U.S. Senate."
Senator Cruz paused after saying these things, then added:
I would like to issue an invitation to the Vice President... If he believes the answer to violent crime is not prosecuting felons and fugitives, not prosecuting gun crimes, but going after the constitutional rights of law abiding citizens, I would like to invite the Vice President to engage in an hour long conversation and debate--how do we stop crime?
    Cruz continued:
And if Vice President Biden really believes the facts are on his side, that this is not simply an exercise in political power by the administration, then I would think he would welcome the opportunity to talk about the sources [and] causes of violent crime, who's carrying it out, and how we can do everything humanly possible to stop it."

That ought to be interesting to say the least. Mad Joe fancies himself a real debater but he's never been up against a guy like Ted Cruz who who has a few more brain cells than him!

Well, it appears our Ted Cruz has rattled some cages. Even the powerful Harry Reid has taken to the bully pulpit to castigate Ted calling him a 'schoolyard bully'!

The two senators bickered as Cruz rose to object to Reid’s motion to appoint conferees to a House-Senate budget committee. …
He said Cruz’s request to eliminate all taxes in a final House-Senate budget was absurd.

“The senator from Texas was on the losing side…now he wants us to adopt the losing side’s view or we cannot go to conference,” Reid said.
“My friend from Texas is like a schoolyard bully,” Reid added.

“He pushes everybody around and is losing and instead of playing the game according to the rules, he not only takes the ball home with him, but he changes the rules that way no one wins except the bully who tries to indicate to people that he has won.”

Cruz, a Tea Party darling whose rhetoric has sometimes raised eyebrows among Republicans, shot back that “I wasn’t aware we are in the schoolyard.”
Reid cut him off saying “enough."

Not That Reid Hasn't Ever Thrown A Punch Below The Belt

Payback is real Schadenfreude is it not!
