You do understand Russians have limited numbers of "special forces" (shows your lack of knowledge failing to name them) - who are very professional and very good indeed

Well, that is the usual mistake journos take, reading numbers, ignoring training and actual experience at war, that makes a great and life changing - as in kill or die - difference
A u-turn on the issue of numbers.

Aircracft carriers are easy, trackable target to enemy. But one Astute class sub could kill half the world.

How many of these subs does the the UK have patrolling the world and who decides the fire order? Who builds the missiles for them? Do you really believe any of the missiles would launch without the unexceptional empires say so?

How many subs do Russia, China or France have "patrolling the world". Who builds their missiles?

    Nobody can track subs eh?

Not telling you. But I can tell there is clear chain of command and if contact is lost things will turn red. Same as US subs. Astute class just happens to be best even in sim battles against super Virginia/LA class. Chinese are for now behind, but I believe they will get better.

Did you fail to read my post, I said Chinese are getting better. I believe they will have superior military capability matching US and UK in few years. But we are on the same side really, read what Cameron and Xi said, and keep the markets open 24h, kill some russians if needed.

Royal Navy does have pretty sophisticated equipment, but it's more than that, pretty sophisticated personnel.

It seems the Iraqis, the ex PM, have voiced an opinion of the crusader coalition efforts at "finding and exterminating ISIS, wherever they are".

‘US-led coalition disjointed in fighting ISIS as some members have own plans’ – Iraq's ex-PM

    https://www.rt.com/news/321213-malik...iew-iraq-isis/

"The US-led coalition has been "unbelievably" inefficient in fighting the terror group Islamic State, possibly because some members have their plans for the terrorists, Iraq's former PM told RT.

“It's unbelievable and unacceptable that more than 60 nations comprising this coalition that have the most modern aircraft and weapons at their disposal have been conducting their campaign in Iraq for 14 months and IS still remains in the country,” he told RT's Arabic-language sister-channel Rusiya Al-Yaum.

“Some members of the coalition have their own strategies that account for ISIS either continuing to exist or being destroyed. They also consider what would happen after ISIS’s destruction. I believe they are indecisive, trying to calculate what happens. What will be the situation in Iraq, in the region, will the map look the same? Or maybe ISIS is a key instrument for changing the situation in Iraq and the region?

“The Russian involvement in Syria and the intensive bombings have stopped the offensive of many terrorist groups. This involvement hurt the terrorists a lot and inspired the Syrian troops. Russia's actions also stunned the international coalition. In just days and weeks Russia delivered strikes against major terrorist positions in Syria. And where is the intentional coalition of more than 60 nations that had achieved nothing in 14 months in Iraq?”

And yet less just 9 months ago when speaking about a new American law regarding Iraq ans Syria, the POTUSE claimed he had ISIS, and other linked terrorist organisations "demoralised, our coalition is on the offensive. ISIL is on the defensive, and ISIL is going to lose"

You appear to be confusing Russia's Crusader Coalition with the US-led coalition.

Even the former Iraqi PM doesn't make that mistake.

Implying not as good as some other Navies.

Now you may know, I certainly do not, that these exceptional navies steam out of port with not a care in the world. They refuse to turn on their radar and sonar, they allow their sailors to stay in bed, watch videos and drink plenty of rum.

Why, because they are exceptional and nobody would challenge them.

I on the other hand would tend to the view that:

    1. Prior to sailing all hands are on station, some of course are resting until their watch starts or maybe stood on deck to attention so the shore based exceptional navy personnel can admire the brave boys off to save the world from today's evil empire.
    2. All equipment, necessary for the safety of the vessel and the other vessels in the carrier group it is defending, is operational and being observed by a watchful crew. or are they frantically trying to cool the reactor down so it doesn't blow up close to the base.
    3. All equipment means defensive and offensive weapon systems. The galley, cinema and massage rooms are of course inspected prior to raising the anchors.
    4. Immediately a threat is determined, the chain of command is notified. After he has had his/her coffee and cigar.
    5. The commanding officer decides if action is to be taken and what action to take.
    6. the Admiral radioes for orders from the Navy headquarters who, it being a Sunday morning are either asleep, at church or at the beach with their families.
    7. After decoding, confirmation of authenticity and the assembly, by bosuns chairs, of all the groups vessels captains. The consumption of more coffee and cigars, a consensus is reached as to the desirable response.
    8. Taking into account, the top brass's orders, the available weapons at hand, the weather conditions and today's horoscope of the Admiral.
    9. One of the following is issued,
    a. The order to fire, is passed to the appropriate weapons team.
    b. The largest white flag available is raised to the top of the tallest mast.
    c. Another cup of coffee and a cigar is ordered from the Admiral's steward.
    e. Clarification of the top brass's orders is requested because one of the points (in 8. above) precludes action, according to the SOE adopted by the carrier group yesterday.

I would also tend to the view that an undetected, foreign, submarine popping up in the middle of a carrier group would be deemed a threat to the carrier group.
