Looks like a few more "bringing peace to the world" boys are going overseas/some place/any place, to get shot at.

"The Nobel peace prize-winning president has been busy today: not only did he already petition Congress earlier to declare war on the Islamic State, a non-country which technically doesn't exist, but now he plans to expands his "war powers" to any other place in the world. From Reuters:
    • MILITARY AUTHORIZATION BILL WOULD PRESERVE PRESIDENT'S ABILITY TO ORDER OPERATIONS AGAINST ISLAMIC STATE IN COUNTRIES OTHER THAN IRAQ, SYRIA - WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN
    • WHITE HOUSE SAYS COMBAT BOOTS ON THE GROUND MAY BE USED FOR HOSTAGE RESCUE OPERATIONS
    • OBAMA NOT RULING OUT DEPLOYING COMBAT TROOPS ON GROUND TO ASSIST AIR STRIKES AGAINST ISLAMIC STATE, IF PENTAGON RECOMMENDS IT -WHITE HOUSE"
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.

Because, Bert 'ol son, progressives basically twist-off when events do not go according to their agenda.

Read a good analysis on this topic which I'll be happy to pass along:

“There is something in the progressive mind-set that promotes, nay, requires compulsive lying. We see it in John Kerry and his fake stories of secret missions in Cambodia and his flying dog; Hillary Clinton, and her Bosnian snipers; Susan Rice and her video explanation for Benghazi; Eric Holder with Fast and Furious; and even FDR. . . . Your standard progressive activist has really done nothing very interesting, so he or she needs to get proper credentials, to show that he or she knows what’s what, and that progressivism is what the world needs to deal with “problems”–after all, isn’t life just a series of problems calling for progressive intervention? They want to see what they believe. We, hence, have progressives making up the sort of stuff that puts them, the elite, in the center of the battle, on the ramparts, in the muddy trenches and downed helicopters with the common schlubs–the sort of worldly experience that allows progressives to tell us how to live our lives. Telling lies is essential to progressivism.”

The DiploMad 2.0: Are They Really Journalists? No, They are Progressives and Must Lie

OK, the piece addresses journalists but the theme can be expanded to encompass all situations in which a progressive finds him or herself.

Why do Progressives hate Domino's Pizza delivery drivers?

Domino’s Gun Ban: At Least 8 Drivers Shot, 3 Killed Since Start of 2012

There have been at least eight Domino's drivers attacked and shot since January 2012, and three of those drivers died from their wounds.

They shouldn't deliver crap pizza's, or should get a job in a country where guns are not so freely available.

Seventeen year old boy killed in game of Russian roulette in Torrance, Los Angeles County

A 17-year-old boy died when he shot himself in the head after a game of “Russian roulette” with cousins and friends in his bedroom.
“He was with a few cousins and they were pleading with him to put the gun down and stop playing. He did not listen and take the advice of his cousins, and continued playing the game,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‘s Detective Scott Hoglund told KTLA.
Russian roulette, which rose to prominence in the 1978 movie The Deer Hunter, is a potentially lethal game of chance in which a single bullet is put into a revolver, the cylinder is then spun before the muzzle of the gun is placed against a participant’s temple. The game ends when the bullet is fired.

LACSD’S Information Bureau said in a press release that the 17-year-old produced a .38 Special revolver and stated his intention to play “Russian roulette” at an apartment in West Carson, near Torrance.
“Against the pleading of two minors who were also present inside the 17-year-old’s apartment bedroom, telling him not to do it, the 17-year-old, while holding the gun, shot himself one time in the head,” the statement read.
“The 17-year-old, who was living with his older brother and the brother’s wife at the time, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.”
A security guard Donald Gordon told NBC4 that he rang emergency services after investigating reports of an argument, which authorities said might have been the boy’s three cousins pleading with him to drop the gun. Neighbours heard what sounded like screaming for about one minute and a single gunshot.
Gordon said he found the boy bleeding on the floor after responding to the disturbance reports.
“He was on the ground, gasping for air, saying he really needs some help,” said Gordon.
The death has been ruled as an accident while investigations continue into how the teenager obtained the revolver and who it was licensed to.

Well I would like the rest of you to understand that America is one huge place. It is a huge place with lots of guns.

Would America be a safer place of it had no guns?

    The answer is yes.

The reality is America is a gun country.

It can not go door to door and take those guns. It is impossible.

And they have tried banning firearms in the US many times, but not as many lobbyists for lawn darts.

    They did in Australia.

It's quite simple, you come up with reasonable ownership, training and storage laws, buy back guns from anyone who doesn't want to comply and make it a felony with a 10 year sentence to posses a weapon outside those regulations.
Cops who spend their time currently attnding shootings can then spend their time making spot checks to ensure registered owners are complying with storage laws,

If Oz can do it a state can do it. If one state can do it all states can do it.

Difference is the USA isn't quite there with the Nanny State OZ has - at least in terms of firearms.

It's not even politics man, it's the simple difference between letting your overloards dictate to you or make a stand against tyranny.
