So the answer is allow them unfettered access to weapons of war? Seriously? That's your answer?
Do you think that's a good idea? Or would it be a better idea to keep weapons out of a violent society?

A good place to start would be to disarm/separate politicians from the corruption and addiction to the free money from corporate interests.

Why don't you just say "kick out the Republicans (and the odd Democrat) who take money from the NRA"?

In due course, right now we have much more to fear from our own governments, who are guilty of murder and oppression on a massive wholesale level.

The notion that Billy Bob and Bob Bob and all their weekend warrior buddies running around in their camo-gear with their guns and paranoia about the Gubmint being able to actually do fuck all to stop it even if their whackadoodle conspiracy theories came true is amusing.

Right now the most pressing problem is schools aren't safe. It needs to be dealt with and tightening gun control is a first step. The US gov is much more of a threat to people of other countries than it is to me. But I agree it's out of control and needs reformed.

Dis-empowering the NRA and other lobbies is a good starting point for that.

True enough, but the true danger is from within, with the administration of rampant political correctness.
The true danger comes from government which prohibits a free exchange of ideas and thought.
The true danger come from oppressive government legislation which attacks the family.

If you don't believe me, just ask yourself why the USA prison population is much higher than China. Most of them non violent drug offenders.

The current corrupt federal government is a very clear and present danger to society and the entire planet.

Agreed, but that's for another thread. This thread is about getting control of the weapons.

You have no idea whether the prison population of the U.S. is higher or not than China.

The danger is unstable nutbags getting hold of guns and shooting up public places. Seeing how you're against any kind of gun control, what's your solution to the problem?

How about the enforcement of current laws!
The Lakeland FL shooter was a known problem to school administration, local law enforcement and the FBI. They all did nothing.
The outrage is clearly misdirected to elicit a hysterical response against firearms. Something which happens after every tragic shooting. Which in effect ignores the real problems and why the schools are indeed in greater danger as a result of mindless leftist protests.

^^ the fact the FL shooter was known of, at several levels of officials in positions of responsibility is an inconvenient fact which runs counter to the gun-grabber agenda. A virtue signalling agenda which places the students at more risk, not less.

As I understand it, the key demands of the youth movement are:

    - Ban on AR-15's
    - Comprehensive (and working) background checks with no loopholes like gun shows, etc.
    - No guns until 21

All of which seem to me to be a reasonable compromise.

So do you have a valid argument against any of those Earl or are you just going to spit piss and scream "but they won't stop there!".
