What makes you think firearms were designed to kill little girls and school children?
Firearms are designed for many purposes; hunting, war, personal protection from greedy motherfucking robbers.
Like the automobile both can used responsibly without over loss of innocent life. Yet the social justice warrior system of education and regulation falls noticeably short of respecting life and the earth's environment.
Why is that precious Anty McPanties?
Your analogy is a shit one, Earl. You're comparing an apple that was designed to kill with an orange that wasn't.
You just keep trotting out those NRA-hey-look-what-I-have-in-this-hand!-isms and non sequiturs though.
Meanwhile this little girl is still very much dead just like many other kids that will senselessly lose their lives this year.
paddywhackery Limeys?
And yet that "orange" proves it can be by far deadlier than the "apple".
Both require proper education for safe use, and appropriate regulation and penalties for misuse. Neither in of themselves are the danger.
Blaming an "apple" for being an "apple", or blaming an "orange" for being an "orange" is the wrong response.
Though it is indeed possible to measure and quantify either or both. 2.5 million vs ???.
Face it Anty McPanties you're focusing on the wrong fruits and failing to ask the right questions.
What most people never get figured out is the NRA had a big restructuring back in the Carter days. It became all political, Ronnie Reagan gave them support. NRA started as a service to gun owners. Once they began the lobbying and representing the gun makers I and alot of gun owners quit the group.
Most gun owners don't suppprt the NRA. Alot of good bargains in it though plus the sticler on your car comes in handy at times.
Still a shit analogy, you're still babbling NRA-hey-look-what-I-have-in-this-hand!-isms and non sequiturs, and kids are still dying.Originally Posted by Mr Earl
Maybe also add the part about the NRA exerting its influence to ensure that the Govt. can't even collect and collate research on guns and shootings effectively to ensure the waters remain muddied.
Though it won't make it any clearer for the likes of Earl. They actively try to remain ignorant.
I am curious to know why you as a Kiwi, are so passionate about American law and their constitution. You have no control over what they do, you have no vote and no rights as a foreigner to America, but you come across as if this is something that you are very obsessive about.
Yeah but no. You don't personally find the whole thing just a touch, I dunno, fucking insane?Originally Posted by Barty

Technically there is no such thing as an "assault rifle".
This is a term coined by democrats to stir up the emotions of gun grabbers and the ignorant.

The firearm used at the Lakeland shootings is a Colt AR15, which is simply a semi-automatic rifle with a detachable magazine.
Do yourself a favor Harry resist parading your hysterical knee-jerk ignorance, lest you wish to appear completely and utterly idiotic.
That's not true.Originally Posted by Mr Earl

Yeah cool story bro.Originally Posted by Mr Earl

More NRA shite.
I can't tell if you're gullible enough to believe or it stupid enough to think people would fall for your bullshit.
The Colt AR-15 is a lightweight, 5.56×45mm, magazine-fed, gas-operated semi-automatic rifle. It was designed to be manufactured with the extensive use of aluminum alloys and synthetic materials. It is a semi-automatic version of the United States military M16 rifle.
Earl regurgitates NRA bollocks, accuses others of being unable to think for themselves, posts stuff that simply isn’t true and is easily disproved, accuses others of being ‘dumber than dogshit’.
Sometimes I think he’s a parody, planted to mock and make angry old right-wing men look silly. But then I remember he actually takes himself seriously and thinks others should too.
Is it the government stupid?
Their elected representatives are stupid?
The guns themselves are not smart enough?
Or the people?
I have studied in Florida and seldom saw a gun but that was a very long time ago. My local gas station attendant was shot dead by a deranged man with a handgun, but that was the only case in Alachua I can recall.
Other nations seem to limit assault weapons to Police, Army , Marines etc
Only other places we commonly see them in hands of civilians are failed states like Syria Lebanon, Libya etc
Assaut rifle has a pistol grip and a magazine. The fella claiming it's a made up word needs to get his facts straight. The left is guilty of a multitude of sins but thats not one of them.
The term "assault weapon" came into existence around 1990. Coined by politicians.
The military never used the terminology.
"Assault Rifle" is something more recent the ignorant media tosses around recklessly to stir up negative emotions.
Before 1990 we had "selective fire" and "semi-auto" weapons, no assault weapons.
Every time there's a mass shooting tragedy the gun-grabbers seize the opportunity to promote new firearms laws before the bodies are even cold.
The latest tactic from the horrible FL school shooting, is to blame the NRA for the shooting. When in fact it was negligence of the school, local law enforcement and the FBI which were major contributors to the problem exploding as it did.
They knew about that shooter kid long before it happened.

I came across this discussion thread and forum during a search for information on gun homicide in Thailand. I'm surprised there is so much focus here on the problem in the US when the research I've done in the past hour indicates that Thailand has a higher gun homicide rate per capita than the US. Is there a discussion thread on the Thailand problem I can refer to?
Much thx.
^yepper Thailand has a lot of firearms, most of the shooting is Thai on Thai, which doesn't concern farangs much.
