I wondered why sabang would leave out the link. Fairly obvious that it was to hide this. The only countries where it's favourable are where Putin's lashing cash or they're under threat from the chinkies.
As you have.
However here is another opinion, with a link. :

EU depends on Russia in oil and gas sphere — Macron
The president of France said that Europe set the goal of achieving net-zero by 2050
20 Jan, 00:04
"While the European Union depends on Russia in the oil and gas import sphere, gaining more independence should not entail severing ties with Moscow, President of France Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday during the presentation of the program of France’s presidency in the EU at the European Parliament’s session in Strasbourg.

Europe needs long-term contracts with gas suppliers, says Hungarian Foreign Minister
Russia has proved to be a reliable partner in this area, Peter Szijjarto stressed
20 Jan, 14:09
"Signing long-term agreements with gas suppliers would be the key to resolving the energy crisis in Europe, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in an interview with TASS. "I think that the key how Europe can resolve gas crisis is filling up the storage capacities and sign long-term agreements with suppliers," Szijjarto said.
He reiterated that Russia has proved to be a reliable partner in this area.
"When it comes to the energy issues, I have to tell you that we are very satisfied with our cooperation with Russia. I have a very clear experience that whatever we have agreed with the Russians, it has been kept always in time, always as we agreed. So, we respect that a lot."

Two NATO and EU members suggest going to war, and hence receiving no gas is unwanted.
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
Europe already knows it can't depend on Vlad.
Better to sign long term contracts with Qatar and the US until renewables can fill the gap.
Much though the US foreign policy establishment may resent this, and the hawkish side of Nato hate it, Europe- especially Germany- has strong trade and investment links with Russia, which has in fact proven to be a very reliable energy supplier. They are only likely to further increase over time.
So your post really only emphasizes the idiocy of that position 'arry. Pay many billions of Euro more for essential energy supplies at considerable economic penalty cost, plus irrevocably damage our trade and diplomatic standing with an important trade partner. Heinz wonders- excuse me, but what is in such a ludicrous proposition for me? Are you my ally, or my enemy?
Don't be so fucking naive.
The mere fact that Putin has already used gas supplies as a tool for blackmail clearly demonstrates that the EU could be on the end of it if they become dependent on Russia.
It will be ludicrous NOT to make sure you have multiple suppliers.
I didn't say don't buy Putin's Gas, I said make sure you have other reliable sources as well.
Are you under the impression they can only pick one, you idiot?
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
The LORD has a chat with the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Iran-Russia hit maximum strategy.
Friday 21 Jan 22
"The official visit to Russia by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, at the invitation of Vladimir Putin, generated one of the most stunning geopolitical pics of the 21st century: Raisi performing his afternoon prayers at the Kremlin.
Arguably, more than the hours of solid discussions on geopolitical, geoeconomic, energy, trade, agriculture, transportation and aerospace dossiers, this visual will be imprinted all across the Global South as a fitting symbol of the ongoing, inexorable process of Eurasian integration.
Raisi went to Sochi and Moscow ready to offer Putin essential synergy in confronting a decaying, unipolar Empire increasingly prone to irrationalism. He made it clear at the start of his three hours of discussions with Putin: our renewed relationship should not be “short-term or positional – it will be permanent and strategic.”
Putin must have relished the torrents of meaning inbuilt in one of Raisi’s statements of fact: “We have been resisting the Americans for more than 40 years.” Yet, much more productive, was “a document on strategic cooperation” between Iran and Russia that Raisi and his team presented to Russian officials. Raisi emphasized this road map “can determine the prospect for at least 20 years ahead,” or at least clarify “the long-term strategic interaction between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation.”"

Russia supplies energy materials, oil and gas, to Europe along with many others. The reason Russia supplies the most is that the EU countries have continued to order from the Russian supplier Gazprom.
When they don't order any more, Russia doesn't supply any.
No
Involved.
Or do you have facts to support your allegation. That you are able to share with us, of course.
In fact, there are ample supplies via an existing and new pipeline, available immediately from Gazprom. Once the EU countries place an order or alternatively, the German authorities grant a licence to open the new NS2 pipe's valve.

Russia has not used gas as blackmail at all. Show us evidence of this. Russia expressly told germany that they should just make a set contract for gas prices that would be stable and a good price. But Germany chose the futures market price instead. And thats why gas is high.
Russia’s Putin says Europe only has itself to blame for surging gas prices | Al Arabiya English
He also said European leaders had made mistakes in reducing the use of long-term supply deals in favor of the spot market, where prices are more volatile.
“The countries, which receive gas via the long-term deals, they receive it much cheaper,” Novak said.
Europe’s red-hot gas market could find some relief from redirected cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Asia as European prices make this diversion attractive.

Wang Yi Speaks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the Phone at Request
2022-01-27 18:32
"On January 27, 2022, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the latter's request.
.....
Blinken briefed Wang Yi on the U.S. position on the Ukrainian issue, among others.
Wang Yi said, to solve the Ukrainian issue, it is still necessary to return to the new Minsk agreement. The new Minsk agreement, endorsed by the UN Security Council, is a basic political document recognized by all parties and should be implemented earnestly.
China will support any effort that conforms to the direction and spirit of this agreement. At the same time, we call on all parties to remain calm and refrain from inflaming tensions or hyping up the crisis.
Wang Yi stressed, the security of one country should not be at the expense of the security of others, and regional security should not be guaranteed by strengthening or even expanding military blocs.
Today in the 21st century, all parties should completely abandon the Cold War mentality, and form a balanced, effective and sustainable European security mechanism through negotiations, with Russia's legitimate security concerns being taken seriously and addressed."

Not what Blinken wanted to hear, one suspects.
I cam across this originally a short interview by ABC Australia. This was a longer interview about the origins of the magnitsky act that originated in the USA but is being slowly adopted around the world, started by Bill Browder. The fact there is a story from RT on him being corrupt is enough to believe his story but here it is and although long is an interesting take on the Oligarchs and Putin. It runs for an hour but is quite a fascinating listen.
P.S. Mo larry and curly. Please read RTs version you will feel so much better with their narrative.
Bill Browder — Putin’s Public Enemy Number One
Last edited by Hugh Cow; 24-02-2022 at 05:36 AM.
Bill Browder should be in a Russian jail. Nobody takes him seriously. He's like the Adrian Zenz of anti-Putin propaganda. Available on request.
Putins enemy number one- what a joke. He's just a corrupt businessman (among many), got busted, and split. Now his alms cup is providing propaganda on demand.
Yet when the Russians had him in custody, they chose to deport him rather than arrest him. Then they actually prosecuted a dead man who apparently died of gall stones whilst in jail. You have not shown one shred of evidence that his story isn't true. Like all trolls you make an ad hominem attack without presenting any form of credible evidence to the voracity of his accusations or evidence. He may have been involved in corruption, I frankly dont know. That does not mean his story is untrue. I would've thought the introduction of the magnitsky act would have needed some fact checking before the bill was written and passed. It is now enacted in quite a few countries.
Is there an Interpol notice on him from Russia and if so why has he not been arrested if there is such obvious (in your mind) evidence?
The fact Putin has manipulated a system where he will stay in power for at least 24 years and he can get nearly 100% of the Russian parliament to back his actions in Ukraine should tell you something about democracy in the Russian parliament and indeed Russia if it was at all possible for you to think critically.
