You know that this was written in 1999 right ? 1999. 1999.

    What happened after 1999 ?

Between 2000 and 2008, the GDP grew by 83%, productivity grew by 70%, and expenses for accumulating fixed capital doubled in real terms. Whereas in 1999, per capita GDP by purchasing power parity (PPP) was $9,300 (only 25% above the global average), by 2008, this indicator had increased to $21,600 (78% above the global average). Russia's share in the world economy grew fourfold over the same period, from 0.6% to 2.7%. The welfare of the population increased considerably: real wages increased by 3.4 times, and real pensions increased by 2.8 times.

Putin identified what was wrong, had a plan and executed it.

You might have a point that it needed a strongman to control reform when the USSR crumbled. But that was thirty fucking years ago and he's had the Russian people by the throat since the alcoholic Yeltsin basically ceded power to him. In 1999.

Putin and Russia profited from rising oil prices. Their economy collapsed together with the oil price. A sure sign of a third world economy.

No it didn't. The Ruble fell with oil prices just as other oil ccy's like the Canadian dollar do. Russia is back above 500 billion in reserves, where they were in 2013. Even with low oil prices and Covid. And nobody is saying that Russia is a developed country. It is trying to get there. It has problems but is miles ahead of other middle countries like Turkey or Brazil

If you read the article by Putin in 1999 you'd know that Russia had to stop with the radical reforms and radical ideas.

    I am ? Really ?

My answer was totally in line with the topic at hand. You decided take a cheap shot with the economic data in the piece and I had to put it into context

Fuck this is funny, for the last 4 years the MSM has been saying "A dictator in the oval office". Vlad and Xi actually changed the rules to let them stay in office,

The MSM hasn't been saying anything of the kind.

What they said repeatedly is that he clearly admires dictators and would loved to have been one.

    You demented shit for brains.

I get the idea that the only Russian leader most westerners (certainly the US) could approve of, would be a weak, vacillating toe rag- such as Bozo Yeltsin. Well tough shit- because you ain't Russian, so you don't get a vote. Sucks e'hhh, that there are world leaders who do not answer to You (or 'Us')- rather the citizens of their own country, who's interests they stand up for.

Which explains why Vlad is far more popular with Russians than either trump or Biden with merkins, or any other western leader with the citizens of their Own country. That must hurt.
Of course, the fact that Vlad has exposed the US as an ineffectual, vacillating liar in it's so called War on Terror must hurt too- I hope it does anyway. Sick of being lied to by America.
While America as often as not helps arm and fund these fundamentalist Islamic terrorists, Vlad has been busy kicking their arse, in both Syria and Chechen. Go you good thing.
I would say Vlad is very dangerous indeed, if you are a Sunni terrorist. I'm sure they must hate Vlad too- just like the US foreign policy sector, who's hypocrisy he has exposed.

The boom and the development within 30 years from Yeltsin's Zero is for some not "so impressive" (mind that NASA without Baikonur cosmodrome would close their shop).

Some are impressed by life achievements of 50 years acting (mind the achievement in Ukraine disclosed humbly on live camera)
