    "How dangerous is Vladimir Putin?"

Well can anyone name any other person other than my wife who could possibly end it all for me ?

He has the nukes and cornered bullies always hit back like those who send reds and gratuitous insults only this sociopath is prepared to sacrifice his own lads let alone Ukrainian civilians for what , to destroy the heart and origin of RUSSIAN" culture which started in Ukraine while they were still licking bear's arses up in the tundra of Nizhny Socalgrad and Sankt Sabangsburg.

I can think of no other clear or present danger to us all other than a nuclear Holocaust, sure some members will drop orf due to rd accidents smokin', tokin/ STD LSD or whatever yabba skunk PCB kids pollute themselves with today .
Putin and his crew need taking out, seems all those precision lasrs and novochols are beyond reach or is Langley delighted to see EU and Russia slog each other into poverty and remove 2 contenders before limbering up for teh world titel against teh Dragon
Biden's a liberal wimp, next POTUS has a short wndow to erase teh CP PRC or we'll all be Tonghzhi.

There are many more sources that tell you the same thing- the US has been stealing oil from Syria, which they are illegally occupying. D'uhh, but I didn't read it in the Sun- so it couldn't be true. They have also stolen, or are illegally holding on to, Sovereign funds from Venezuela, Iran, Afghanistan and now Russia. Oh, and Israel is wholesale pilfering Palestinian natural gas. So my reaction to the allegation (whether true or not) that Russia is stealing grain from Ukraine is 'big fuckin' deal'. Your reaction= "How dare they, only we can do that" or "But when we do it, it's not stealing".

Is a bit of sobriety finally sinking into our junior G-man brigade? Or is them ukies still kickin' Vlads ass?

They now have taken an area of Ukraine bigger than Italy. The Ukrainian forces have totally abandoned an important strategic town, they are not even going to defend it. Get real- Ukraine is losing, big time.
Looks like David Stockman may have been right all along- they are gonna drive Ukraine back to the other side of the Dniepr River, and annex the east & south into mother Russia. We'll see.

From what I'm seeing in most of the press, Snubs, Ukraine are on the back foot at the moment and have even seen some desertions for the first time in the war. They're getting overpowered in some parts of the east (as most expected to happen much earlier) and it appears to be a critical juncture.

I also read that they are running low on ammo.

I have not heard of any desertions. The main battle right now is in Severodonetsk, and it is a tit-for-tat back and forth right now. Ukraine is outnumbered, but they are fighting like hell. The only gain made by the Russians are incremental, so the line is holding. Long way to go yet.

Down in Kherson, the Ukrainians are conducting successful counterattacks.

One of the things that most do not realize is that Severodonetsk sits in a valley on a river. Lysychansk is on tall hilltops looking down on it from the west and if the Ukainians lose Severodonetsk they will just pour massive amounts of artillery down on the city and any further Russian advance there would be across a river and uphill. Something the Russians have not proved capable of. They are stuck on the wrong side of the river and have not been able to make successful bridgeheads to cross the rivers.

The last time they tried, they lost over a thousand men. Basically, an entire battalion was wiped out trying to cross that river. Like I said, there is a long way to go, and more western weapons are flowing in every day. So the Ukrainians just need to hold on at this point, and they full well know this.

    Some real relative info, thanks.

Of course, rather than attacking up the hill to the west, the Russians are already moving in from the south and north.

Possible joining up to the west of the city. Cauldron creation is a known Russian tactic, successfully utilised throughout the SMO.

You have been wrong about literally everything in regard to this war. You have been doing all the bleating, especially before the war started, when you claimed that it would never happen.

They have been trying for months and getting nowhere. The only realistic way into Slovyansk is south through Izium and guess what? The same river is blocking them there too. As I already mentioned in my previous post, the Russians at this point are incapable of making bridgeheads to get across the river. Every time they do, they get massacred by the Ukrainians.

So your proposed solution is facing the exact same issue. Stuck on the wrong side of the river. Nice try though.

Putin pretends to be a historian again: he says he must "return territories"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided that he is destined to "return and strengthen territories".

Source: Putin after visiting the exhibition "Peter I. The Birth of an Empire", quoted by the Kremlin media

Putin: "It would seem that he (Peter I - ed.) fought with Sweden, took something away... He didn't take anything away. He returned... The same goes in the western direction, it concerns... his first campaigns there. What were you afraid of? He returned them, strengthened them. That's what he did.

We also had to return and strengthen. If we assume that these core values are the basis of our existence, we have certainly succeeded in solving the challenges we face…

Russia will not step on the same rake as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, its economy will remain open."

Details: According to the President of the aggressor country, "Russia cannot be fenced off".

    Background:

Last year, on 30 June, Putin reiterated the propaganda thesis of a "single nation" that had existed since time immemorial in a trinity of "Great Russians, White Russians and Little Russians" that "they tried to pull apart and fragment", including the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Austria-Hungary. Putin also believes that the bill initiated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy "declares the Russian people not indigenous to the territory of Ukraine". He compared this document to a weapon of mass destruction.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy replied that Ukrainians and Russians are not one people, and if they were one, the yellow and blue flag would fly over the State Duma in Moscow.

Putin published an article in Ukrainian and Russian on the Kremlin's website "on the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians". Putin wrote that the Ukrainian authorities do not need Donbas, as Donbas "will not accept current policy in Kyiv peacefully."

Belarus’ Lukashenko says Russia offers seven routes to export Ukrainian grain

The Belarusian leader believes that the US has been trying to set a number of countries against Russia and Belarus and to blow the Ukrainian grain issue out of proportion

    MINSK, June 10. /TASS/.

"Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has dismissed as groundless the reproaches addressed to Moscow and Minsk over the export of Ukrainian grain. Speaking at a conference on the authorities’ grassroots relations with the public at large he stressed that Russia had already proposed seven alternative export routes.

"What’s the point for us (Russia and Belarus - TASS) in listening to all this and trying to present excuses? Let’s just tell them what the routes are. He (Russian President Vladimir Putin - TASS) in a recent interview mentioned the Belarusian route. We clinched a deal. I told him: ‘Listen, Mariupol is free. And Berdyansk is free. There are good ports on the Sea of Azov. I said: ‘Make an offer.’ And the Russians did make an offer. There are seven alternative routes for grain export to choose from. Go ahead. More than a month has passed - nobody is exporting anything," the BelTA news agency quotes Lukashenko as saying.

The Belarusian leader believes that the United States has been trying to set a number of countries against Russia and Belarus and to blow the Ukrainian grain issue out of proportion. "The Americans have failed to persuade the whole world to challenge Russia and Belarus. They are especially persistent in Latin America, Africa, and Asia in this respect. But nothing has worked. Then they thought they need something very emotional and touching to tug at the heartstrings. That’s why they raised the issue of hunger," he said. "They (the United States - TASS) want to mobilize all other countries by means of this global hunger threat, to make them toe the line and to crack down on Russia and on us, too. Also, they might try to expand this front-line - you know, at whose expense - and have the Middle East involved," Lukashenko added."

Official says Zaporozhye grain is sold in US via third countries despite sanctions

The United States buys it through third countries and complex schemes, said Vladimir Rogov, adviser to the military-civilian administration of Zaporozhye SIMFEROPOL,

    June 10. /TASS/.

"Vladimir Rogov, a councilman of Zaporozhye’s civilian-military administration, on Friday said North America, despite sanctions, buys grain from the liberated areas of the Zaporozhye Region through third countries.

"We are approached by agricultural producers who can’t sell grain from the old harvest because there’s too much of it," he said on Rossiya-24 television.

"So, we started to look for markets and fairly quickly, in addition to the Russian market, reached agreements with representatives of the Middle East, Africa and North America, which is scaring us with sanctions, but, nevertheless, happily buys our grain - of course, through intermediaries and complicated schemes.".
