The way I understand it, the search company only gets paid if they find the wreck....not seeing any logic to backing out of a deal like that....unless someone doesn't want the plane found

Perhaps they want to wrap up their own investigation team, must be costing a few quid.

Australia is still hopeful Malaysia Airlines flight 370 will one day be found as the latest search for the missing plane finishes.

Texas-based company Ocean Infinity will stop scouring the Indian Ocean's seabed by the end of Tuesday after finding nothing, despite having its 90-day time limit extended twice.

I reckon he should deploy his considerable expertise and resources into finding it.

Well they've obviously got a bit of money left.

THE search for missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370 has not quite ended but will in “the next few days,” a spokesman for the private underwater search company leading the operation has confirmed.

The official search for the aircraft ended on Tuesday after Ocean Infinity failed to locate the plane during its canvassing of an area totalling 125,000 square kilometres in the Indian Ocean.

But spokesman Mark Antelme said late on Thursday that the company’s Seabed Constructor vessel was now heading north to an area where a Chinese patrol ship had detected a “ping” during a search shortly after the plane went missing in March 2014.

As a private business venture which has been spending its own money, is it under any obligation to share what is commercial data with you?

Last chance for the forum whackjobs to spout their hysterical conspiracy theories.

    Rothschild patents
    Diego Garcia
    It's in Iran/Iraq/Moscow
    Aliens took it
It caught fire and steered itself
It was actually repainted as MH17
    etc.etc.

KUALA LUMPUR • Malaysia will release the full and final report on the findings into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 later this month, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said yesterday.

In May, Malaysia called off a privately-funded underwater search for the aircraft, which became one of the world's greatest aviation mysteries when it vanished with 239 aboard en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014.

The investigation team would brief families of those aboard on the report at the Transport Ministry on July 30, said Mr Loke.

A news conference would follow the closed-door briefing. Both will be led by MH370 investigation team head Kok Soo Choon.

"Every word recorded by the investigation team will be tabled in this report," said Mr Loke.

"We are committed to the transparency of this report. It will be tabled fully, without any editing, additions, or redactions."

Voice 370, a group representing the relatives, has previously asked the Malaysian government for a review of the flight, including "any possible falsification or elimination of records related to MH370 and its maintenance".

The report will be put online, with 1,000 hard copies given to families, accredited media organisations and foreign missions in Malaysia. "The whole international community will have access to the report," said Mr Loke.

He added that the report will be presented to both houses of Parliament on July 31.

The only confirmed traces of the Boeing 777 aircraft have been three wing fragments washed up on the coasts of Indian Ocean places.

The search by US-based company Ocean Infinity, which Malaysia called off on May 29, covered 112,000 sq km in the southern Indian Ocean in three months, ending with no significant new findings.

It was the second major search after Australia, China and Malaysia ended a fruitless A$200 million (S$201 million) search across an area of 120,000 sq km last year.

Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has said Malaysia would consider resuming the search if new clues came to light.

If that doesn't bring ENT back to TD, only something major about 9/11 will.

Alternatively, you could just fuck off because no-one's interested in your utter nonsense about something else in a thread about MH370.

    You fucking twat.

Go and put your tin foil hat on and play in the 9/11 thread with the other mental cases.

Since you vehemently replied with such aplomb, you might consider not contradicting yourself, as usual.

Four years of gossiping about the same historical issue? Huh? Both you & and that other loser need to learn the value of minding your own business, and find a real life...

Next of kin of MH370 passengers seeking to declassify documents

    Last update: 25/07/2018
KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- Five next-of-kin of three passengers of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 have filed a leave application for judicial review at the High Court to quash the government´s decision in classifying several documents on the missing plane under the Official Secrets Act (OSA) 1972.

The documents were recording or communication transcript on MH370, a letter of agreement with Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, minutes of meetings of the relevant agencies, internal memos and reports on MH379 search and rescue operations and the post-mortem report.

They filed the application yesterday, naming the Transport Minister, the ministry´s secretary-general and the government, as the first, second and third respondent, respectively.

Two of the applicants, aged 18 and 16, are the children of Tan Ah Meng, 46, and wife, Chuang Hsiu Ling @Cindy Chuang, 45, who were passengers in the airplane, together with their eldest son, Tan Wei Chew, 19.

The other three applicants are Ah Meng´s parents, father Tan Hun Khong, 87, and mother Lai Chew Lai, 85, and Chuang´s Taiwanese father, Chuang Hung Chien, 78.....
