I think most of the EU would want to see the nasty English go,
terrible mistake to have let them in,
now they won't leave,
The UK is going to have a referendum about continuation of membership after the next election. If you move here, with your Belgium passport and along with all the wealthy French that have moved to London, you could help to vote us out of the EU.
London now being the 6th largest French City
we send you the creme of the creme, so be grateful because we make England a better place
if they don't want to leave, we might have to make the whole place French
They might want to move across the border to Scotland if the people vote for independence.
Almost as good as a lottery win if they do.

I personally can't see it happening , doubtful Cameron will still be leader then and they will get out of it that way or they will say some bollocks like its impossible during these difficult times ( assuming they win of course ) they got forced into promising a referendum due to losing voters to ukip same as now they are adopting other ukip policies on immigration and such albeit watered down ones and that goes for labour as well to a certain extent . Just my opinion of course .
They had no choice. Europe owed Britain its very existence.Originally Posted by Butterfly
That's the main reason why France was so anti-British with regard to their joining of the EU in the early days, as they were so ashamed of their cowardly acts of treason against liberté during WWII.
Go Scotland go,vote for independence, I want to enjoy watching you go it alone.
When independent who will you blame for your mistakes, for too long you could always whinge about the English causing your misery. Try it on your own, wallow in your own misery,or will you be like former independent countries from the Empire, forever blaming their woes on the former colonialists.
I haven't been following this. Could Scotland actually survive as an independent country, is this genuinely feasible over the long term?
It could if it got into the EU. As a new member it would be entitled to assort of subsidies and grants. My feeling is is that its membership would not be automatic. Would the English support it? The French and the Germans?
Europe is struggling with its new membership. Scots as proud as they are about their heritage have always voted with their wallets rather than their hearts. They are no fools and will not vote for an impoverished nation. Much too canny and proud for that. Anything is possible maybe they offer tax free zones to lure wealth to North of the Border?
if they have all the oil, how can they be poor ?

DeGaulles objected to the English because he knew them too well. He knew of their tendency to double speak and backstabbing, to be unreliable in their agreements, and to be obsessed with their former colony, North America. He saw the danger of a united Europe if England was to joined because England was being stuck in its "island" mentality and would be a double agent for North America.
He turned out to be right,
kick out the two face English, they are politically worthless and have no future in the EU
^ Strange for a Belgium to speak well of the French? The English and French have for long been, not nice to each other.
Even the V for Victory sign was a slight. (from English Archers. If captured the french cut of their 2 bow string fingers off) It was always a national shame that the only 2 wars that they had won in their history depended on the Brits and other Anglos helping them out.
De Gaule hated that, his pride never recovered and he would have loved to see the Brits isolated and demeaned. As colonial rivals the French and Brits had much in common, however the Brits slow as they are had the sense to realize that empire days were over. France tended to hang on until they had real problems.
Although I often wonder if the brits had allowed the many african nations to have dual citizenship, like the FRench, then perhaps their soccer, FOOTBALL, team would not have been as crap.
I am not sure where you get all those fantasy stories, you must be American
I suggest you get yourself familiar with European history,
this is not based on some myths you Americans love to tell to hide the nasty reality of your wars
God man get a life. I am a real European. You must stop hurling petty insults to refute an argument. It is all part of growing up. I am pleased you like Monkeys, I am sure they like you as well.
Have a nice evening.
PS The Flag is a hint!
Absolute twaddle as usual from you.
How can saving Europe from Nazi tyranny be considered unreliable? The only thing that surprises me (as it did the Germans - twice) was that Britain twice sided with the cowardly French losers after repeatedly kicking their lazy arses for nearly a millennium.
hilarious, British Chavs rewriting history
first, France won WW1, you probably forgot about that one, we forced the Germans to sit and sign an armistice. Yes England was an accessory and a useful ally, but it wasn't their war, they were assisting France, period.
Second, France wasn't in the fighting mood for WW2 because of the WW1 dramatic experience and instead joined the Nazi side, England was the enemy, not an ally and didn't help in anything. You didn't save France from anything, it wasn't even in your side.
Did you save Germany too by that same logic, you frigging English idiot ?
I remember France's greed caused WW2, but I don't remember the cheese eating surrender monkeys winning WW1...Originally Posted by Butterfly
