    Food for Thought

QED...therefore can we assume according to FDR, Shinawatra government and potentially Suthep's are of fascist essence?

The lesser of evils seems to always be the rule. Right now, Yingluck seems to be the lesser of evils in my view.

The north with rice pledge bribes encouraged into idleness by unrealistic prices.

The south granted a small sop for falling rubber values.

The centre where all the corrupt decision makers at the rotten core, are given the rather odd title of the Bangkok Elite.

Take this wonderful agricultural opportunity for food security and healthy exports and what do you do?

Give everyone cheap cars and cheap money to buy them.

Oh look at the happy smiling electorate.

    OP,

I cannot say about Thailand, but that FDR quote definitely applies to the USA.

What other "pledges" or give-aways has PT party done or is doing in addition to the rice farmers in the north and rubber cultivators in the south?

Affordable health care, low interest loans, increased spending in public education, infrastructure development in rural regions to name those I recall off the top of my head.

    Agreed.

Let's keep this thread and others "Thai-centric."

This is a great quote and it is essentially what exists in the US today. Corporate oligarchs control the country. It is no doubt a form of fascism.
