Dinesh D'Souza a controversial American voice

DS has some interesting viewpoints on the polarisation in US society and perhaps the debilitating inheritance he claims some African Americans carry with them from their US history compared to other non white immigrant groups.

DS has also made a sort of opposite Michael Moore, a documentary on Obama that in fact is the 4 highest grossing documentary ever with more than 33 million USD.
It probably have been posted on TD before, but no harm in repeating it for those who are interested and have missed it.

It is subjective and to some highly offending, and people have to make up their own minds, much is however Obamas own words from his book "Dreams from my Father"

As highly intelligent and clever Obama is, personally I still think his first brilliant election campaign was one of the greatest "con's" pulled on the American public and the top of the US political establishment IMO.

That said it means very little to us in Europe who is president in the US since the American foreign policies relating to Europe only change very marginally.

The film 'Obama 2016' is based on D'Souzas book "The Roots of Obama's Rage".
Umm, what rage? The only rage I see is coming from the raging Right. Obama is the adult in the room.
It will be interesting to view it, but suffice to say objectivity is not to be expected from the author of mild mannered Obamas invisible Rage.
If you want my opinion he is too polite, given the nature of the opposition. But I'm a coarse aussie.

D'Souza has some good insights on US society, IMO.

I recall parts of his book, The end of racism in the 1990s.

I disagree that D'Souza is the opposite of Michael Moore.

Yes, his views are different on several issues but there is one main difference.

DS is more intellectual and he communicates in an intellectual manner.

Moore (who I think is intelligent) has a different approach orally and in his books. Moore's books are written for the general population, and honesly, a segment of the population with lower reading skills (seriously, I've read a couple of his books. They were pretty bad).

DS comes from and intellectual approach.
