Yea perhaps Hairy. In my experience its been mostly lay abouts who worry about who's earning mega bucks and getting more than their fair share of the pig trough.
People who work for a living by and large are to busy working and supporting their lifestyles to actually see the reality of the system. Its not that they're stupid or unaware, its simply they haven't got the freedom to stop and actually ponder on how the system has them over the barrel.
Folks with some talent, connections or old money seldom concern themselves with those who are struggling in this world. Rare instances. The old guys like Carnegie or Ghetty were really filthy rich, but they took the time when they really didn't have to to establish for good or bad civic projects that have lasted through several lifetimes. I now see some of the same happening from within the ranks of the super rich, but its not an effective tool against poverty, or the lack of jobs and skill sets.
Gates and Buffet seem to think they're more effective sending their money off-shore to third world nations when a more effective thing would be to give those funds to projects in developed civilized nations that will better the living standards of the world. shoving money down the sewers of India isn't an effective use of money or knowledge. Old Mr. Ted CNN gave millions to the UN...how fuk'en stupid was that?
Like a quote from Gandhi years ago, "give to a beggar and you make begging a profession."
