Black Oganization Enlists UN to Allow Felons to Vote

I just saw in the news where the NAACP has petitioned the United Nation to force the USA to allow convicted Felons to vote.

Seems like a better tactic would be to teach blacks not to commit felony crimes.

This is one of those areas where 'States rights' should be pared back. Currently, you've got a situation where two states- Kentucky & Virginia- disenfranchise ex-cons for life. Two other states- Maine and Vermont- allow current prisoners to vote. The other states are various shades between. There is a shitfight going on in several Republican lead states to further disenfranchise ex-cons, because their theoretical vote favors the democrats.

It really makes no sense that this sort of thing should be individually determined by 50 different states. A matter involving franchisement and disenfranchisement at federal voting level is very much a federal matter. The rules should be a national standard.
