One guy presents a proposition to halt a Blue Angels airshow which is summararily dismissed and that's an example of "SF values".

This really is quite the flexible concept isn't it! Seems to change with the tides.

Ahh...but which city in America does this guy live in, eh?
How many communities outside of SF would even consider banning the Blue Angels?

It's one guy, Booners. Get a grip. And the article clearly states that he was opposed to it on saftey grounds, citing a previous accident during a Blue Angels show.

Hopefully all of them. It's called democracy, present a proposal and it's voted on. And, in this particular instance, was voted against.

My only comment on Michael Savage is that I've heard him many times. (He is a Jew who has changed his name.) This is fine as long as he doesn't comment on the Middle East issue - but he did when I was visiting the U.S. during the Hezbollah/Israeli conflict and he spread false information about the KSA and Jordan opposing Hezbollah - he failed to mention to the brilliant American public that the former 2 are Shiite and are very weary of Iranian Shiite influence.

He also accused a long-term Congressman of being "Left Wing," yelling it into his radio microphone. I googled his voting record and ACU rating to find he was Center at best, and could even be considered right wing.

I knew that would get you to come out, ray. The PC crowd by shouting racist at the story of Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox are in effect attempting to burn it. No one wants to be associated with racism so by declaring the story racist you have shut out folk tales southern slaves brought with them from Africa and passed down from generation to generation. You've disempowered southern slave history. Who are you to bin their teachings? What must be taught is what is approved? By who? The PC crowd? One little character in a story, a 'tar baby', and all the Brer folk tales are stigmatized and people are fearful of association. Book burning, intimidation and fear. The tools of the PC crowd.

Implying that Savage speaks for me is dishonest. Why do you want to exhibit dishonesty? The last time I listened to Savage he was engaged in an insult fest with the San Francisco city council. It was very amusing. I think he's in the hospital having surgery in case you want to whip up a voodoo doll. I, like most people, flip the radio dial and mix things up. I also listen to "KNBR the sports leader. Home of the Giants." What can be inferred from that? Savage is lounge level comedy. It's hit and miss with him. A few weeks back he was grinding the tits of the city council. I enjoyed it. I don't take anything he says seriously and I would never see him as a news source. I'd like to know the strict selection of PC approved comedy ray listens too. Judging by his posts at TD the pickings are pretty grim. Grim ray.

even though you're not responding to one of my posts, you think about me as you're posting? as i've said before....i guess i'm flattered by this attention, but to be frank it's a little creepy.

don't be so defensive....listen to savage whenever you want (just do us all a favor and don't start blubbering about how you can't tell your clients ...boo hoo!).

and btw, why is it that it's only booner, earl, BG and attaboy who laugh ( ) at their own 'jokes'?

as much as attaboy insists on making this thread about him, let's try to get back on topic....

if there is such a thing as san francisco values it is best illustrated here...
San Franciscans are already signing up for a new program that guarantees free or sliding-scale medical care to all uninsured adults. The program provides a network of care to city residents, regardless of pre-existing medical conditions, immigration status or ability to pay.

imagine that....a city in the wealthiest country in the world guaranteeing health care for all its residents.

And healthcare is only the beginning.

Before you know it, the morally corrupt moonbats and gay-paraders of S.F., the Kerrys and Clintons of this world, will align themselves with the Islamofascists and attend conferences with Castro and Chavez on how best to dismantle the constitution and turn the US into a futuristic socialism where nobody is allowed private property and you all will have to pray to Allah 5 times a day!

Hitler's national-socialism will appear like a liberal paradise by comparison, if the Hildebeast gets to run the country, supported by the PC brigade, the blacks and the rest of the looneys who hail from the far-left fever-swamps.

Not far off there Headmaster. Over at the Smriking Chimp, there's a fascinating look at the mind of your average liberal. The title of the piece is When America Went Fascist From the skreed:

"The United States of America is already a fascist state.

The United States turned fascist on December 11, 2000. On that day, the Supreme Court essentially appointed George W. Bush president of the United States, stopping the recount of Florida votes, and, hence, the democratic process. The justices of the court then slipped away by night, ashamed of their role in murdering America's great experiment in democratic rule."

Believe it or not folks, there are Moonbats out there who believe this shit...

How did I miss this? I bet she's what they call PC. They discover politics and their enthusiasm goes through stages of authoritarianism. Just like a two year old. Only the PC crowd never seems to mature and relax. They remain rigid and focused. The other thing I've noticed is they are very superstitious. Just try and hand one a book of Tales of Uncle Remus. They recoil in horror. Strange bunch. Supposed to be enlightened and yet they have taboos and certain incantations they must chant like, "everything is racial". They even have magic which protects them from "influence" spells an evil person might try and cast on them. It involves shouting something like, 'RACIST!' Sometimes you'll see them shouting it at the dark. I've noticed they are very aggressive fundamentalists too.

    Here's one of their charms:

I think every one of them carries one in their pocket.

No, not really. Instilled with a sense of Patriotism I should imagine which concept is lost on the liberal crowd...

Well you'd have to be 'instilled' with something to accept lie upon lie upon lie as 'justification' for an illegal war.

Indeed. Seems that to have a "sense of Patriotism" one must sacrifice individual thought and freedom and not question authoritiy...

... hang on, where have I heard that before... ?

Actually I have always found the concept of patriotism rather queer and disquieting. Pride in who you are and where you come from yes, but a 'love' for ones country!?

Patriotism seems altogether too forced, to insular, to false and insincere. All that symbolism and ‘wrapping oneself in the flag’, very, very weird! And it subverts the individual in favour of the State, never a good thing.

Quite telling too that “unpatriotic” has become a pejorative term, a synonym, for anyone who dares question the legitimacy of a government’s action. The Iraq war being the perfect example, despite all the lies it’s ‘unpatriotic’ to question your government and far better to blindly follow into war!?
