I guess it could go in either.
Let our Headmaster make the call...

Well, the politicization of 9/11, five and a half years ago has already begun.
I won't vote for this fool.

MANCHESTER, N.H. —- Rudy Giuliani said if a Democrat is elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.
But if a Republican is elected, he said, especially if it is him, terrorist attacks can be anticipated and stopped
^Unfortunately, if the West got hit hard by islamists before the next election, candidate Guiliani would play the terrorism card and win because he rolled up his sleeves on 9-11. Guiliani is a moderate and not nearly as corrupt as the Bush gang. But anyone who supports a protracted land war in the Middle East is a cretin. Guiliani supports such a war and therefore he is a cretin and has no business being president. Period.
There a wealth of reasons not to vote for guiliani (sp?).
first among them....
1. he has no foreign policy experience
2. bernard kerik
3. he was told specifically not to put terrorism response control center in the WTC because of what happened in the bombing years earlier....but he did it anyway.
He did it anyway because those who planned the entire operation, of which giuliani was a part, intended to demolish WTC 7 from the onset, which many believe was used as the control center for the operation, to destroy the evidence. Giuliani is also the party most responsible for shipping the steel beams and girders overseas in an expedited manner to remove and destroy more evidence of a crime, which was, in this case, a federal offense - a felony.Quote:

Giuliani should be arrested and tried for treason and conspiracy to commit murder and most likely a few other crimes.
please note rc, I didn't mention the Zionists/jews.
the mods might as well lock this thread, because his campaign to be the republian candidate for president is O-V-E-R.
ol' rudy will try to blame it on his ex-wife (not sure if hanover is his first or second ex-wife) but that isn't going to hold water for the religious nuts that control the republican party these days.Quote:
Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani in his campaign appearances this year has stated that he personally abhors abortion, even though he supports keeping a legal right to choose. But records show that in the '90s he contributed money at least six times to Planned Parenthood, one of the country's leading abortion rights groups and its top provider of abortions.
Federal tax returns made public by the former New York mayor show that he and his then-wife, Donna Hanover, made personal donations to national, state and city chapters of Planned Parenthood totaling $900 in 1993, 1994, 1998 and 1999.
so, does this put the polygamist in front?
and there it is.Quote:
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Religious conservative leader James Dobson will sit out the 2008 presidential election if former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is the Republican presidential nominee, he wrote Thursday in an online column.
In a piece published on the conservative Web site WorldNetDaily, Dobson wrote that Giuliani's support for abortion rights and civil unions for homosexuals, as well as the former mayor's two divorces, were a deal-breaker for him.
"I cannot, and will not, vote for Rudy Giuliani in 2008. It is an irrevocable decision," he wrote.

i know there's a thread about the repugs turning on themselves, but rudy will be the catalyst.
more dubious claims from the 9/11 hero

On at least three occasions, in responding to accusations that the city failed to adequately protect the health of workers in the wreckage, he has boasted that he faced comparable risks himself. In one appearance he declared that he had been in the ruins “as often, if not more” than the cleanup workers who logged hundreds of hours in the smoldering pile.
Another time he brushed aside safety claims by asserting that his long hours at the site had left him susceptible to “every health consequence that people have suffered.”
So, how much time did Mayor Giuliani spend at ground zero?
A complete record of Mr. Giuliani’s exposure to the site is not available for the chaotic six days after the attack, when he was a frequent visitor. But an exhaustively detailed account from his mayoral archive, revised after the events to account for last-minute changes on scheduled stops, does exist for the period of Sept. 17 to Dec. 16, 2001. It shows he was there for a total of 29 hours in those three months, often for short periods or to visit locations adjacent to the rubble. In that same period, many rescue and recovery workers put in daily 12-hour shifts.
He is just another attention whore like McCain, a complete fraud
oh, and his 'extended' family is now apparently off limits.
Giuliani: 'Leave my family alone' - Yahoo! NewsQuote:
DERRY, N.H. - Republican Rudy Giuliani said Thursday that people should "leave my family alone" when asked by a New Hampshire woman why the presidential candidate should expect loyalty from voters when he doesn't get it from his children.
why?Quote:

i also just saw that in 2001 rudy spent more time at yankee games than at ground zero.
so much for spending as much time at ground zero as the real workers.
In the case of these Federal Judges, Rudy is right.

Thompson hits Giuliani on using NYC as policy model - The Boston GlobeQuote:
Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson said yesterday that New York City isn't a model for the rest of the country and that Rudy Giuliani should stop basing his policy stands on what he did as that city's mayor.
Thompson, campaigning at a Lakes Region gun store with stuffed moose and deer overhead, told reporters that Giuliani too often turns to his time as New York mayor to explain his support for stronger gun restrictions.
"He relates everything to New York City. Well, New York City is not emblematic of the rest of the country, I don't think.
of course it's divisive...but that plays well in republican primaries....it will be interesting to see if this gets traction.
Giuliani's biggest problem is the Republicans have a shrinking base. They're down to about 40-45% of the country, so all of a sudden that 20% of the USA who are Christian fundamentalists make up nearly half of the party. They are heavily trending to Mike Huckabee right now. And they vote. Rudy already has a creepy persona and a checkered personal life. Many New York Fire Department members blame Giuliani's incompetence for their co-workers' deaths on 9/11. His main foreign policy adviser is a senile Zionist warmonger named Norman Podhoretz. One interesting bit of trivia - Giuliani's father was a Mafia enforcer who served time in Sing-Sing Penitentiary for armed robbery. I wouldn't bet on Giuliani being the next US president.
I believe Rudy will make it through first few caucuses and as the field narrows will have to get some support from the conservative base within the party. Selection of Huckabee an antiabortionist as a running mate would offset many of his weaknesses within the conservatives in the party. Don't count him out just yet.
Yeah, I also think Rudi suffers from not having the Christian right on his side even though I think he's the best candidate.
Then preacher Mike is just the man!Quote:

I like that fact he isn't another bible thumper and not beholden or pandering to Fundamental Christians.
I think his social views are relatively moderate, though I haven't looked into them much.
I see as a big fault lack of Int'l experience.
I watched the Republican debate this morning for some light entertainment. IMO Mike Hucabee and McCain outclassed Rudy and Mitt by a long shot.
