The main income of the whole region is oil revenues so any terrorism there in need of funding will get oil money.

Take a look at Saudi Arabia , the country where the current extreme islamism emanates from.
They use parts of their oil revenues to fund both parties in a US president rally, making sure that whoever wins will be in debt to them.
Bribing comes to mind.

Another part of the revenue is returned to Islam communities by setting up Islamic schools abroad and many of these schools has been found out to teach Islamic extremism.

The western world, and US in particular, has for fifty years been pumping in dollars in the region while pumping out their oil.

We have allowed a few people and families there to become extremely rich, creating the grounds for the extremism and terrorism, and we have supported the dictators in their attempts to keep the populace in chains.

US is more responsible for this than any other country, they have actively been involved in putting these dictators in place, and now it is all getting back at us..

US still believes that the region can be controlled by force ,by wars, with "fight against terrorism".
I'd say that fighting your own mistakes, your own shortcomings, with a war is a sign of utter stupidity.
I can only see it for what it is, a last resort of keeping the current economical system alive.

It's pathetic that some people still haven't gotten over the 1979 embassy siege (which was, after all, payback for the U.S. overthrowing a democratic govenment in 1953).

It's like the child threatening to burn down the house because the parent punished him for throwing the cookie jar down on the floor.

I am not sure what is meant by "closure" here.

Have the killed guards been found guilty of a crime and a death sentence been carried out on them through the 'bombing', or is B.M. applauding the murdering of gov personnel in a terrorist attack here?

This was one of the many reasons why I was very suspicious when Ari Fleischer kept saying at press conferences before the Iraq attack that the U.S. was pushing for democracy in the Middle East. Iran, Saud family in KSA, Egypt (Hosni Mubarak), etc.

The fact that we'd risk our nation's well being in attacking Iran in order to protect 6 million Israelis is disgusting.

Makes as much sense as pushing Iraq out of Kuwait in order to restore democracy to a state whose leaders couldn't even spell it.

Still, it did get rid of old munition at new munition prices.

As a side thought, could be the Brits are ultimately to blame, for handing over vast chunks of land instead of chopping it all up into easier to invade emirate-size entities.

I think that Israel will nuke or bomb the shit out of Iran in the near future. The U. S. won't have to do anything. Of course the U. S. will protect Israel. No link-just my opinion.

As far as disgusting goes, it would be disgusting not to protect 6 million people who mind their own business.

It's revolting that 6,000 Americans have already died since 9/11 because of our support of Israel.

If Iran nukes Israel into a big glass blob than so be it. Why should we shoulder the burden?

If for no other reason then the fact that we have an agreement to do so. I also feel that we have a duty as Americans to defend all peacefull countries that come under attack. And, IMO, you have it backwards. Iran dosen't have the balls to make a direct attack on Israel, however, Israel will attack them and as I said before, I feel it will be soon.

Bomb if expedient, not nuke, and tactical rather than delete the country or even specifically target civilians, which is an attribute routinely discharged by peacelovers rather than the warmongering Jews. Also, Israel doesn't have the munitions to bomb the shiite out of Iran, even if that were warranted.

The common smoke and mirrors objective of Surasak's quote is to first propose a scenario, and then at one fell stroke grab it and nudge it to certainty if not imminence, though in this instance he's taken it a stage further by creating a double whammy, viz...American is going to invade Iran (1) in order to protect Israel. (2)

I like the 6 million bit, though it may cause him sleepless nights to learn that more than a million of those are Arab, and hopefully more sleepless nights to learn that these enjoy greater rights and freedoms and quality of life than their subjugated brethren under Islamic rule. Irrelevant details, I know.

If America invades Iran, as opposed to overtly tactical strikes, which he claims to believe, and seemingly without considering any of the myriad side issues, DD will become the proud owner of $1000 to further his research into depraved women, for the general good. There you go, money and mouth are now connected.
