^TD has had a couple of pooves on over the years and mostly pretty likeable chilled out punters like RalphInLaos etc.

TC really does come across as the prototypical high maintenance sarky whiny one-lining bitchy spitting scratching hand-bag-swinging mincing poove (no offence TC just a general observation!)

Maybe TD has done something to deserve him and he is some form of divine retribution from the great poove-burglar in the sky.

This post makes me poster numero uno on this thread...

Come on Landreth up your game eh!

TC is closing fast though so not for long...!

Sooo ... back to the Footie.

At the Game there will be maybe 60,000, it's not being held @ the G which has a capacity of 90,000 +

But it's not the game attendance ... the total audience will be far in excess of that.

The figures for 2006 were ...

    • The NRL (Grand Final) was watched by 4.226 million at its peak and 3.733 million on average. SMH

Imagine, for a second, that the same musical act was booked for the Gridiron final (SuperBowl).

Call me a WASP but, I just want to entertained on Grand Final Day, not have a political agenda shoved down my throat.

When is it appropriate for this grandstanding of a belief, a cause?

    Remember the Manchester Arena bombing?

You want to see people galvanized by the Musical Message?

Watch the clip below ... Noel Gallagher Don't Look Back In Anger We Are Manchester 9/9/17 Oasis

^ Now, that is one voice into one million voices, one song, one message.
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

Government to pay same-sex legal bill

The Government has been ordered to pay costs to the couple who won the right for gay people to marry in Bermuda

It’s not a competition. You seem a bit upset (more than usual) as of late. Have you been watching the numbers also?

Among those who have already voted, 72% voted yes compared with 26% who voted no.

The results of the poll, if replicated in the survey, would deliver a decisive win for marriage equality, although advocates have warned campaign efforts must be sustained until the 7 November deadline for votes to be received by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.: https://www.theguardian.com/australi...essential-poll

The Australian Bureau of Statistics will publish a weekly estimate of the running total of same-sex marriage postal surveys sent back, starting next Tuesday.

The bureau revealed the initiative this morning, saying the number received before 5pm each Tuesday will be published on its Marriage Law Postal Survey website each week, to help promote awareness of the poll.: The Australian - https://marriagesurvey.abs.gov.au/media-releases

I reckon it’s weird playing anthems at events like this.

Internationals sure, but two teams from the same country what’s the point.

Reminds me though - an Australian played a vital yet unheralded part in the Smith and Carlos protest at the 1968 Olympics.

The point, my friend, is that the US is a militaristic nation. You need to keep the plebes fired up, ready to fight and die for flag and country.
Where else are "veterans" so revered?
Really, where else does a guy who fought for his country in an illegal or immoral war get special status in the general attitude of the citizens?
He's a vet...yay, he wins X-Factor. He's a vet, yay we need to support his misfortunes. Etc.
    Nowhere.

Seeing as 'switch' was a multi nic of his I'm guessing there's a good chance he does. Anyway looks like your back to being the only gay in the village again.

I have always maintained a smart appearance. Clean and tidy is normal for me.
I sometimes wear brightly colored socks as a protest at declining dress standards.
    No one cares.
Anyway dressing up is not my job. My partner enjoys it though.

Anybody still struggling in the closet can wear a pair of grey socks on top of their brightly coloured socks and no-one need ever know your secret!

I sometimes wear ladies tights under my trousers to work. It feels exciting cause nobody knows I have them on...!

https://teakdoor.com/the-teakdoor-lou...stockings.html (Is it OK for a bloke to wear women's tights or stockings at work?)

And right there you've blown your cover and the fact that you're in the closet and that's why you're so vehemently homophobic, have no kids, and use Hugh Grant as an avatar.

Wearing the tights is fine. Despite being advised to get long johns, you still chose female clothing. That's sort of fine too. Sort of.
But being titillated by wearing them is the big clue.
