    Site-Spesific

    Try Site-Specific: www.asitespecificexperiment.com

They are from Bangkok, but the architect has its own builders so insure quality and budget. They built everywhere. I am currently started building with them in Roi-Et province. There strength is that the understand the need of a Farang and how to built a good house to the requirements and budget of the customer.

the trouble starts when an architect listens too closely to the customer

a lot of farangs only have ideas from their home country, where the climate is completely different

I have visited many homes where they have a lovely lounge and dining room, both hardly used

and minimal outside space, so everything is cramped
    I have reported your post

    Absolutely true!

But a good architect listen to the needs and then designs a house, which really fulfils the needs - made for the tropical climate and the conditions in Thailand. Our architect had a lot of good ideas, which we never though-off.

Site-Specific in our case, listen to our needs and wishes, also considered the plot (views, problems) and the local infrastructure - just "site-specific".

For an etasblished architect you have to expect 10—20% of the building cost.

A design craftsman, who only brings all you ideas and work down to building plans, would be much cheaper of course.
