    Nakhon Si Thammarat

I'm looking to spend 5 days to a week exploring this area and am looking for advice on how to spent the time. Was think a couple of nights in Nakhon and then head to Khanom beaches.

Read about the big waterfall Chung Ling or something like that. Want advice on that and how long it takes to walk to rock pools for good swimming.

Also accomodation tips would be good.

About 25-30km South of Hua Thanon which is where you'd get the bus from.

Hua Thanon is about 5km south of the town centre past Wat Mahathat not far from the Tesco Lotus

Not for a while, the wife and kids just spent three weeks there but I was too busy work wise and I need to make 2 trips to the UK in the next 9 months so my annual leave is getting burned on that sadly.

I've been through NST a couple of times and would recommend the Thai Hotel. Clean, centrally located, good value. Nothin' fancy, and has an old school, Vietnam War-era vibe to it that I found appealing.

    Welcome to Khanom

Nice beaches far away from tourist traps.
