    Only in Thailand...

I was at one point living with a buddy of mine in Krabi. He was running a diving operation there and I was a deck hand.

Our house was on a soi off Thanon Jao Fah just at the end of minor hill. The soi was not paved, so it was decided to pave the soi.

It was pretty noisy while it was going on, so I was sitting inside the house reading a book.
As dusk was about to set in, the workers left and tranquility was restored.

I was just about to put my book aside when I heard an unfamiliar rumbling sound.
It was unfamiliar enough to make me move towards the window. However, I didn`t make it that far until I heard a loud crashing sound and the sound of sprinkling water.

WTF? I got out and refused to believe my own eyes.
There was a foking steam roller right inside our drive way, only 3 feet away from our 2 brandnew motorbikes.
It had crashed the wall surrounding the house and broken the water pipes so the water was cascading into the air.

The spectators were having a ball needless to say and it was simply so far out that I thought it was funny too, especially since my motorbike wasn`t turned into pavement nor had any one been hurt.

It turned out that the driver had forgotten to fasten the breaks on the steam roller when he left work. Needless to say he was never heard from again.

The remainder of the hard working crew had to bring our wall back into the original shape.
It only took like 3 days to restore 5 metres of wall...
