I have been in Thailand for 8 years, I have traveled to most places in Thailand but saw a review on Khao Sok in another Thai forum and thought I would give it a go as I never heard of the place.
I booked a place called Las Orquideas which is owned by a french guy (I think) and the service there is amazing and he has trained the staff well.
Anyway, Khao Sok is my new favourite place in Thailand, why is this place so unknown to tourists adn Expats, only a very few other farangs at work have heard of the place too. Its is like a hidden gem in Thailand in my opinion.
You can do jungle tours and elephant trekking, but the best thing they have is the jungle treks, did not think Thailand would have so much wildlife still alive in one area lol.
ANyways I seriously think you should check it out, the Las Orquides is the best hotel there by far, the other look a little runned down that I could see.
Anyoen else been to Khao Sok? I want to go again soon and would like to know if anyone got any good tips on what else to do there.
