Hi everybody,
I have heard of this Dragon Cave near Surat Thani, where monks prepare herbal teas and such for visitors. Has anyone ever been there or knows anything about?
Thanks in advance

Nope, sounds like a right con.
Could be. Been there once. Interesting place but didn't part take in any of the cures offered.Originally Posted by jandajoy

Not the easiest place to get to but is peaceful and intriguing.
Have you been there?
Since I can locate no information on it, I'm wondering if it even exists. The Sacred Sights weblink listed about is also vague as ever.
Thanks!
For goodness sake suitcase, don't be a complete twit.Originally Posted by suitcase56

Go on, click on the line above. Magic .......
thought dragon caves where everywhere in thailand especially nitetime. loads down in nana.
I think I went there when i first came to Thailand, didn't know it was called the dragon cave but I recognize the pics from the link. Nice day out.
There's many places south of Surat to visit better than that temple place head towards Pattalung go and see Thale Noi wild life park
Thale Noi Pattalung : South Thailand Bird Watching birding tours
If it is the one Phangnga (looks like it from the photos), it is a few miles due west of Thaput on the old road (Route 4) that goes over the hills - and then a couple of miles down a little track. Haven't been there for a few years though. Then, you had to walk up quite a few flights of steps and once in the main 'cave' there was if I remember correctly a female nun dressed in white.
Didn't see any beverages being brewed but it was fairly interesting and as a one off, a good place to spend an hour or so. Nothing special but semi-interesting - to me anyway.
..... and yes, FarangRed, ThaleNoi is not a bad little spot either much though depending on the time of year. There used to be a dirt road (4x4 only in the wet) from ThaleNoi across to Ranot but that has since been replaced with an interesting 'elevated' road with some stunning scenery along the way. Well worth a look.
I thought it was in Surat Thani. No wonder i couldn't find any details on it.
Thank you so much guys. That was a lot of help from all of you.
