Since when? Last time I checked there were still flights every day of the week. When did they stop that route?

Yes, but the service is provided by Bangkok Airways, the same airline whose rapaciously greedy arms the OP is trying to avoid, hence the thread.........

Frankly, the OP should simply go to Koh Samed. The cost of the more expensive accommodation there would be offset by the savings in travelling.

Me and the missus got the bus from Phuket to Surat Thani. What an amazing bus journey. OK, it took seven hours but what a feast for the eyes. Khao Lak, Khoa Sok well worth £8. Couldn't get a train to Bangkok from Surat Thani for 16 hours so we got the coach and ferry for another measly £8 to Koh Samui. Spents two days there and flew (courtesy of Bangkok Airways that stung me 9120 baht, eh, ripping you off with a smile knowing to well your stuck on a n island) to Bangkok and got a taxi to Chainat.

    Loved it.

I'm very sorry bout this me Old Punting Mate but in my humble but wordly opinion Koh foking Samed should be foking blown up or at the very least be made a new home land for those bastard Israilie shite backpackers, Sort of a political prison so to speak.

Anyway the reason I feel its not worthy is because its so close to Bangers that every Thai muppet foks of there every weekend, public holidays or whenever they get the urge to get on the piss which is very foking often.

Besides that its full of those nasty little bastards we call mosquitos but perfect for the shite israilie backpackers as there's a very foking good chance they'll contract cerebal malaria and foking decease which I feel aint a bad thing. .

Anyway, your picking up what I'm putting down so on that note have a nice day.

    Cheers matey.

And just to make it perfectly clear about what I'm feeling I'll end on this note.

    Koh Samed Is Foked.

well, that depends on you, considering that you have it all on Samui, even still that relaxed, smooth tropical island feeling, not only in the South West, but even on Menam, if you want that.....
