Try flying with non-Chinese airlines. OhOh, the alternates charge higher prices, as well.

One way to bypass the "pain".

Insist you and family members can choose their holidays prior to you accept job offers or family's "schools rules".
Being subject to price gouging over CNY, when my flight was a return trip from Thailand to UK? Not amused.

At that time I wanted to spend time with my kids while they were on school holidays. Being aware of travel costs is ok, but not hidden price gouging.

You should fcuk off back to China, when the price is right, of course.

Supply and demand swish. Are we not subject to 'price gouging' over Xmas and school holidays too?

    Hidden by whom?

Your selected airline, one presumes you chose your airline yourself?

Travel from Thailand to UK dummy.

Why would CNY be on my radar? China is not nearly as important as you seem to think it should be.

    Fun tourist morning.

    An aerial view (not mine)

There was a little hesitation (confined spaces). 80 meters of cave to get inside.

    Start

    Finish

    Inside

    The cave

    Safe again.

Huge deal here in Roi Et. The missus who might have a couple Chinese gene remnants from an ancestor that wandered in 1,000 years ago always does the Chinese New Year thing at the house. All sorts of fruits and red cloth bits scattered thoughout the house. All just another opportunity to have a bit of fun.

And unfortunately for me, I am not a schoolkid. Travelling during either School holidays, our 'Festive season', or CNY are not my preferred option. Capiche?

What a pathetic retort. Are you trying to prove Switch correct? Really, there's no need as it's already clear.

Whatshername had to see it and it did turn out to be a fun dive. We were able to swim in and out of the train cars.

The water stays murky in this area year-round and seems to be a safe haven for fish.

Is this a fresh water dive? How is there a train and a train line underwater?

    ___________

Few pictures today. A blacktip reef shark, an eel (type? I need my book) and a break for lunch. We didn’t get off the boat.
