What’s the rain like in Krabi this week?

Hey All. The missus and I just arrived in Thailand for a 6-week vacation. Rain is forecast every day for most of the country. But what’s the rain like down in Krabi and that area? Does it rain all day, or is it spotty?

It's only intermittent on the beaches in the daytime, usually.

This is the forecast site that I use for Phuket, reasonably accurate.

I’ve been on holiday to Krabi a few times in rainy season.

    It’s still worth visiting.

We just made sure we had plenty to read.

One downside is the sea might be a bit rough and you need to be careful to avoid jellyfish stings, especially if the water is churned up with sand.

Pluses are that it’s quiet and cool.

Just left Krabi after 3 nights in Aonang and 2 in Railay. The advice was spot on. Thanks everyone. It rained every day but just enough to cool things off a little. Spending a couple of days in Surat Thani then it’s off to Samui/Phangan.
