Monday we visited the Phra Ramrajnivet Palace in Petchaburi.

Out of way location. It is on a Thai military base. Trade your drivers license for a pass to access the Palace.

Nice peaceful view of a very large building. If I understand it correctly. The palace was built by Rama V to serve as a visiting location for foreign dignitaries. Large residential building housed the king, queen, prince and princess. Side auxiliary hall served as the greeting and meeting chambers. No pix allowed. For the most part the place is devoid of all furniture. A couple of desks and chairs.

One bit of interest. Some of the first indoor plumbing. So a view of a very old sit down toilet and a bathtub with shower.

A nice visit, 45 minutes and you have seen it all.
