Monday visited Phra Nakhon Khiri Palace in Petchaburi.
Palace used by Rama IV and Rama V. Nice evidently displayed dual pricing. THB 70/THB 200. Palace at top of hill. Cable car to top of hill. Palace is now a museum.
This place is definitely on a Do Miss list. The palace at the top of the hill is now a museum with well maintained old furniture. No photos allowed and lots of staff monitoring each and every room. Arrows on the floor that you must follow – very weird staff monitoring visitors all of a dozen or so. No pictures and follow the arrows.
Other than the inside of the palace the area is poorly maintained. Place needs paint and really needs a litter cleanup crew.
Do not bother attending. More monkeys, seems Phetchaburi has no lack of the dirty thieving creatures.
