    Crap beaches
    High prices
    Busy road through town

Was better in the early 2000s

If you like it doesn't matter what others think. Can't all like the same things.

    Constant traffic and noise
Gogo bars lurking round each corner in the area where the so-called good restaurants are
Dilapidated tourist 'attractions' whose heyday was the late 90s
One of the most overrated beaches, considering the sparkling write ups they keep getting

Congrats to anyone trying to clear up other's mess

I guess they are Littorally moderators

It's an OK beach for those who'll never visit Merryweather,Airlie,Kilkeel or drink Malibu on Waikinki

But I've seen YouTube videos of horse rides on this beach. That's not found elsewhere.

    N Beach San Francisco

I did a thread with 128 pix all lost when RJ banned

If I trusted mTD not to erase pix I'd try again

If I was young and single no finer place , walking distance Chinatown, Iluna the Basque Hotel Romulo, Trolley to Stockton or Fishermans , bike ride across teh Bay and real good vinyards beaches an hour away

Have look Pat before yer knob's as droopy as mine

compared to Ireland Nam and Oz Thai beaches are filthy

Compared to Southend and Canvey Island some of Pattaya beaches are pristine

    Cheers mate.

It sure does look inviting, and before I'm 50 I'll definitely see parts of California, travel across the country for a month or two by train. I've never gone west, and I regret it.

    All about perspective...

I didn't mind Hua Hin, although I stayed a little out of the center. I thought the beach was okay in the southern part (Khao Takiab). It was a very laid back atmosphere with a few temples and you can hike up Khao Takiab mountain that has very steep steps. I may go back soon. Enjoyed the Cicada market as well with local arts and crafts with some good live bands playing as well in the open arena.

If you want nice beaches, head to Australia . Watch for sharks though.

But the fun police arrest you for having a beer on Australian beaches. Much better beaches though, (except that over crowded dump in Sydney) and cold ones in Victoria......... QLD beaches are nice anyway.
In my opinion, Hua Hin is very over rated and expensive for what it is.

    Or saltwater crocodiles

Without a shadow of a doubting Thomas, Australia has the best beaches in the world.

Was down on Jomtien beach yesterday with a mate who wanted to look at the beaches and it was a fooking mess covered with pollution.

In fact the whole of Jomtien is dire at the moment.
