I can't remember the price, but it weren't much to do it on a longtail boat. You can barter the price at those little travel agents too.

The beach it didnt include was Railay Beach. I will have a dig through my album and put some pics on here, if you don't mind

    You know mate,

I don't generally do organized tours as I dislike intensely being surrounded by lots of people but sometimes one must bight the bullet to see places.

Only other way is to hire a speed boat for the day, OK I suppose if one owns a Bank.

Anyway the surrounding Islands on a good day are world class.

I remember staying at Ao Nang in 1989. Wooden bungalows on stilts, with fans and squat toilets. Set around a lake at the foot of a limestone outcrop, just back from the beach. 120 Baht a night. My mate summed it up nicely: just spoiled enough.

If your bringing your wife and kids along its hard to beat for a family destination.

To get the great beach life you need to come in high season. Fantastic Day trips to the Surrounding Islands and if you crack good weather its a blinding day out.

Hire a car and explore the area. Lots to see.

nah high season is too busy. Low season is the go and the boat trips run nearly everyday.

ko hong has an awesome beach
bor thor kayaking as well as thalen bay
    khlong thom hotsprings and lagoon
phi phi and gai and poda island

low season u can get a 4 star room for 1000 baht or a little more
