Is there a fourm for Cha Am ?
Hi Wittler, Its included in the Southern Thailand forum
regards Worgeordie
There was for a while, I've just loooked and can't find it and the last time I had a look, there was only one man and his dog posting. Apart from here, your best bet is the Hua Hin Forum, the two towns being so close together, there is always a crossover with several users from Cha am regularly posting.
As it is now just full of Wrinkly old coffin dodgers from the UK that have sold their places in Spain and moved there I doubt it. Used to be nice like Hua Hin but the last time I went there it too had changed for the worse in my opinion !
Treat everyone as a complete and utter idiot and you can only ever be pleasantly surprised !
Not much going on in Cha Am
Plenty of pies being baked!
Cha-Am is great it Thai based and not spoiled by over turist from outside of Thailand.
Therein lies the beauty of it.Originally Posted by Lorenzo

If you spent a week or two you'd know everything there is to know.
For sleepy Thai coastal town also try Prachuap Khiri khan. I like that better than Cha-Am. I used to like Hua Hin too, cant stand it now. When I first went to Hua Hin, there was only one paved road; the main hwy, I would stay at the railway hotel which was then a run down fleabag roach infested place with a lot of charm.
The only things on the beach were a few fisherman's hut and ornery monkeys. Times have changed.
Yup thats why I'l be heading down that way to see out me days soonOriginally Posted by nevets

Also, there a couple of Hua Hin "expat" forums.
Probably quite predictable.
they are under the control of the real estate developers and local business interests, and stringently moderated to reflect that. Also, there a couple of Hua Hin "expat" forums.
Probably quite predictable.
a few years ago, there were some real estate problems in hua hin.Not surprisingly, a number of regional Thai expat forums tend to operate themselves in this manner.
murders, attacks, intimidation, rip offs, that sort of thing and voices were raised on the forum criticizing the problems and the authorities lack of balls for not putting a stop to it.
i think the forum owners, afaik, local expats, were "advised" by persons unknown to stop allowing this kind of criticism.
Nige...Everytime I'm on-line, I'm on Skype.
