    a little info.

    Black Mountain Water Park

Looks nice, but clearly newly opened up, and not to the new international standards. Prices seem right through

Cheers AO, I've just got back, It was a nice day out. If anyone wants to go it is 9km up Hua Hin Soi 56
    Here's some pics

    The Sign at the entrance

    Kids slides

This one was fun, I took the toddler down it, a little nerve wrecking for a while, but she seemed to enjoy it in our 2 seater rubber ring. This is her with Mom coming out of the chute

The brave teenager and adult slides, I went on 2, the middle one with the most vertical drop first, a word of warning, cross your feet on these slides, I learned the hard way, and my nads ached for a couple of minutes.
Then I went on the twist, the one on the left, that thing chucks you around and it seemed I came out faster than on the speed, but at least no ball pain on that one. I didn't bother with the third one when I saw how long the landing strip was

The pool that runs all around where the big slides end, has a current that pushes you around, great for swimming, as it makes it so effortless, also great for just being taken around in the rubber rings

    For the little kiddies

    The Wave Pool

The beach pool and Wake boarding lake

The floor in the park can get a bit hot if you walk too slow, it was great for keeping the toddler in the shaded area when I wanted a rest on the comfy sun loungers though
The worst though were these freaking bridges, I was like Carl Lewis crossing them

The Black Mountain and a snack shop, there is a restaurant there also, but I never went after having a big breakfast in Hua Hin. You don't need to carry cash as you top up a food card and use that

It was only 450 baht for me and another 450 for the Missus and free for the toddler, but that will rise to 900 baht, I don't know when. There are a lot of life guards there, especially considering the place was near empty.
I don't know if it was just today, but there was a lovely breeze up there, there is also nice soft ambient music playing at a nice volume all around the park. I did hear Eminem up there though effing and blinding in one song

It was a nice day, I thoroughly recommend it for kids of all ages.

    Peace at Last

Oh another thing, I sent the Missus to enquire about the Wake Boarding which looks like fun and it's only 500 baht for 2 hours , I gotta try that soon

Oh one more, there are lockers at the Water Park to put all your valuables, 100 baht deposit which you get back.

They have towels too, although I took my own

I don't know what the International standards are, but they give you crash helmets in there and there's a lot of life guards

Was it on a cable or behind a boat? I'm guessing cable at that price. Any pics?

Nice report Kwang. I did not mean to put the place down but when compared to

Waterbom Bali it needs time to have the vegetation grow in and add a few more rides. Looks like a nice stop for the family and I though. Beats the hell out of Pattaya Park.

you got it, cable, it took me a while to work out how it was working

i understand what you mean AO, it does need a lot more shade, especially those footbridges in direct sunlight

Sweet, I'm gonna dig my board out, (I think it's gathering dust next to my golf clubs) get down there, sit next to the lake drinking beer and look like I know what I'm doing.

^I was there in January this year with the family and my Mum and Dad as well.

Thought it was a really good day out, decent prices and food, and you can get a beer there as well. Would definitely go there again.
