    Retirement trip with wife.

After all complete and passed off, my wife and I took off to Singapore for a week to catch some R&R

We took the cable car ride across the bay for the day

We did took the new glass bottom cable car which was really cool

Very nice view of the estuary

Crossed over a Cruise ship at dock

View from our room. we caught the bay and light show every night

    View outside the hotel

Couple a couple of cocktails before heading off for the night

No trip is complete without a casino visit. Lost at Black Jack a bit but made a killing at Craps and Roulette. Wife was laughing.

Had dinner at Wolfgang Pucks Spago restaurant. Started with an Old Fashion. My wife had a Margarita.

Wife was laughing until you didn’t win?

Did you order a Singapore Sling at the long bar in Raffle Hotel?

I quite like Singapore but I find it to bloody expensive. A while back I got sent to a mining conference as part of my KPI,s held in the marina Bay sands complex. I was given a budget of $300 aussie and told to book my own accommodation faark me $ 300 only got me a shoebox of a room in Clark quay. The conference was horseshit so I would just turn up in the morning, sign in then fuck off for a curry and a bit of sight seeing. a 3 day junket basicly. It cost me a fucking motza due to my penchant for swirling wobbly pops . 4 floors of whores was fun. But expensive.

Absolutely. Singapore is quite pricey but has some incredible amenities

My take on the MBS resort, Its top class. We quite enjoyed the outstanding customer service. The only issue I had is the place is gigantic and seemed like all the eateries were always booked or crowded. I guess its should to be expected with 3 towers fully booked. The rooms were incredible and we had a full time "Butler" as part of our stay so they were on call and all we had to do was make a request and they delivered in virtually minutes.

Would I stay there again...Naaaah. While my wife and I enjoyed the customer service, the Casino, the bars and view, it was expensive. But as noted this was my retirement getaway and we wanted to reeeeeeeelax. Next trip is to Sicily to stay with my uncle and aunts.

I am sure you know the wonderful rich novel about Sicilia Lampedusa's Gattopardo , the civet/serva , it's message never more prescient than today .
Visconti made a fine film and there was a remake in English. It was incorrectly translated as Leopard no doubt by a Leo toping TEFLR

If unable to tackle in original or for our other members here's a summary.

Look forward to a trip report in due course
